It was after Lust made Fresh and him something to eat and all the kids woke up that Fresh finally decided to teach the kids how to nest. With Nightmare still gone and the parasite very much bored out of its mind, what else could they do? Of course he waited until after the kids ate their lunch.
Things were shifting back into their normal places. Dust was quietly curled up on the couch while cradling Horror in his arms, the baby gently chewing on his fingers. Cross and Killer were snuggled up next to Error as the dark-boned child played with the strings that came down from his eye sockets, his pet spider now nestled in his neck.
Fresh cooed as he stood up, catching the children's attention with a soft whistle. "Alright kiddos, I'm gonna teach ya how ta make a nest."
Error perked up and tilted his head, careful of the spider on his clavicle. "Nest?"
Fresh nodded, "Mhm, can you three go grab some blankets and pillows, Dust go ahead and help them, Lust can take Horror." Dust seemed hesitant again but nodded softly, getting off and giving Horror to Lust.
"Take care of him." Dust's words were more of a warning, a threat. He eyed Lust before chasing after his brothers. The four of them ran off towards the supply closet that held the blankets and pillows. Cross and Killer held the most, the two managing to work together by pulling a large sheet behind them that might as well be the enter closet on a pull-tug. Error giggles as the two struggled to pull the large amount of blankets and pillows out into the living room. Dust only dropped off his bounty by Fresh before moving back over to Lust, sitting next to the adult and looking at Horror. The baby simply cooed, giggling at their brother's dead-eye stare.
Fresh chuckles a bit, not minding his nephew's dismissal towards the project, at least he had the other three. Plus Webs.
Fresh smiled and helped the boys get set up, the four of them carefully moving the pillows around just to form a giant bowl like structure before padding the bottom of the nest with fluffy blankets and bed sheets. A final cover was placed using a large thin blanket with various colors and shapes that trapped heat considerably well.
Fresh was the first to flop into the structure, smiling stupidly at the comfort it brought him. Killer followed without questions tackling his uncle only to be attacked with tickles, the little skeleton giggling brightly. Cross smiled softly with a tilted head before looking at Error who seemed a tad hesitant.
Cross frowned a bit, "Hard to see?"
A small 'uh-huh' was what Cross got in response, "Blurry blobs."
"Are all the colors bothering you?"
Error shook his head, "Just confusing."
Cross nodded gently before grabbing Error's hand, he slipped into the nest, guiding Error with him. Error huffed softly, mumbling that he could do it himself. The monochrome brother just smiled gently as the glitchy sibling sat next next to him, curling up against his side to bask in the warmth of his older brother's hoodie.
"How about you? Too many colors?"
Cross shook his head, closing his right eye. "Too many colors isn't a problem."
Error laughed a bit before looking at Dust, a slight frown etched onto his face as he waved his little brother down. Dust simply looked towards his older brother with an expression that looked both uneasy and unwelcoming. Error flinched a bit but held his smile, patting the spot next to him in an attempt to persuade his sibling to join them.
The hooded sibling scoffed at that, rocking on his heels before approaching the two older brothers. His eyes suddenly darted off to the side for a moment and it almost seemed like an expression of fear swept over his face. Error blinked, a frown creeping to the sides of his mouth before he managed to pull himself out of the nest with a stumble and shake of his leg. Dust looked at Error quickly, stepping back slightly as the glitchy brother approached him. Everything seemed to slow for a moment when Error grabbed his hand. His world stopped spinning and the couldiness disappeared, Dust sucked in a breath.
