*ERINS POV*
I was woken up by a beam of light shining through the curtains, I look over to see 7:28 on the bedside clock and am surprised Aiden hasn't woke up crying yet. I roll over and throw my arm over Jay to get some morning cuddling in, only to be met with cold sheets and I let out a sigh.
I throw on Jay's shirt and make my way out of the bedroom when I smell breakfast. I walk towards the kitchen to see the cutest scene, Aiden sitting in a bounce seat on the counter watching Jay cook and dance to music. I lean against the wall taking in this perfect moment smiling at my boys. I decided I wanted in on the fun, "I hope he doesn't inherit your terrible singing voice." I teased Jay. He spun around not realizing I was awake and smirked. "Very funny, it's not that bad, I think he likes it!" I wrapped my arms around Jay laying my head on his chest, "I know he does, I'm just messing with you. You know how much I love you right?" He nodded and told me he loved me too.
After breakfast we packed some overnight bags for the three of us and loaded the truck with everything we may need for the weekend. Traveling with a baby is hard, you pretty much have to pack the entire house or buy duplicates which is what we decided we will do for next time. "Jay, are we ready to go? Do we have everything?" "Yup, we will stop and grab groceries on the way."
After about 4 hours with a few stops, we made it to the cabin. I got out of the truck and smelled that fresh Wisconsin air and immediately relaxed, this is exactly what we needed. I grabbed Aiden who was sleeping and Jay brought our bags in. It was mid-afternoon so I decided to lay the baby down to finish his nap and go help Jay. "I forgot how beautiful this place is, there is something about it that makes me feel so at ease." Jay looked at me and smiled. "That was my grandfathers hope for this place, that people would come here for peace, for comfort, to find happiness. That is what he got out of it, and me too. I'm happy Aiden will get to grow up here and make memories like Will and I did. Do you want some lunch, Er?" I smiled and nodded since I was starving. We ate on the back porch and talked about what we wanted to do while we were here. Hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing. "Er, there's a flee market going on in town this weekend if you want to check it out? Then we can go to the diner if you want." "Yeah, that sounds good babe"
Cries from the bedroom sounded as Jay got up to get Aiden. They came back outside, Aiden dressed in his new swim suit ready to try the water for the first time. The weather was perfect, about 80degrees F and the lake wasn't too bad either. I grabbed the new infant float we bought for this special occasion and we headed down to the water. Aiden couldn't have loved the water more! "Are you a little water baby? My little fish!" I used my baby voice which he seemed to love but I'm sure I sounded ridiculous, not that I cared. "There you go buddy!" Jay was excited that he loved the water and his float. He was such an easy going baby, our little love.
"Well that was a success, but now I could eat a house." We had swam for a few hours and walked through the trails. "How does tacos sound?" Sounds delicious, we can cook together. After some heavy flirting and a long winded make out session which almost lead to burning the taco meat, dinner was ready. We hadn't tried solid food with Aiden yet, which is mostly likely why he still wakes up a bit throughout the night. "Which one did you grab to try?" Jay asked me. "Carrots. When I was reading, it said to start with vegetables so hopefully he likes them." Aiden took a bite and had a sour look on his face which made us laugh, and just when we thought it was a fail, he opened his mouth for more. Occasionally he would spit out everything in his mouth, which would of course go all over Jay but I'd call it a success.
Everyone was bathed and ready for a relaxing night, Aiden had his last bottle for the night and Jay put him to bed. We picked a movie and cuddled up on the couch. Jay was drawing circles on my arm and I could tell he had something on his mind. "What's up?" "What? I'm good" He brushed me off. "Jay you've been quiet this whole movie and I know you, what's up?" "Nothing's wrong. I have everything I ever wanted, I just never thought I'd actually have it. A million things went wrong and tried to keep us apart but in the end it's always you." "Jay, it's always going to be you and me. This life with you is everything I want." I leaned in to kiss Jay and he deepened the kiss. He trailed kisses down my neck and back up to my lips while caressing my body. He whispered "I want you so bad" in my ear and chills ran down my spine. I pulled away and made eye contact with him and said "so take me to the bedroom" with a slight eye brow raise and a smirk. I wrapped my legs around him as he scooped me up and whispered all the things we could do together in his ear.
