The Man Who Killed Them

Chapter 3

"Y/n wake up!" You wake up to someone shaking you awake. Your in tears and gasping for air.

"Don't hurt me! Please don't hurt me! I didn't do anything!" You scream.

"I'm not going to hurt you. Y/n it's me. Bucky. The person you hate with burning anger." Bucky says.

"No I don't know you! Don't hurt me!" You scream.

"Păpuşă calm down." Bucky says.

You stop trying to fight him off. You catch your breath and your vision comes back.

"Bucky?" You gasp out.

"Yea it's me." Bucky says.

"Tony. I want Tony." You say.

"Okay I'll take you to Tony." Bucky says.

"No they'll get me if I leave." You say through sobs.

"I'll carry you. That way they won't get you. How does that sound?" Bucky asks.

"Okay. Yea. They can't get me." You say.

"Nope I won't let them." Bucky says.

He picks you up bridal style and starts walking to the elevator. You clutch onto him tightly. You just realized he's not wearing a shirt. His skin is warm and comforting. You're wearing really short shorts and one of Tony's shirts.

Bucky's metal arm is cool against the bottom of your legs. The elevator makes a noise that causes you to grab onto Bucky tighter.

"Shh you're okay." Bucky says.

"Are they going to get me?" You ask.

"No. Not as long as I'm here. No one is going to hurt you păpuşă." Bucky says.

The elevator doors open and Bucky walks to a door. He holds you up with his flesh hand. He start knocking on the door rapidly with his metal one. Tony opens it. He yawns and rubs his eyes.

"What?" Tony asks.

"I think y/n was having a nightmare, and now she's in shock." Bucky says.

Tony looks at you. You're sweating and shaking in Bucky's arms. "Okay bring her in here." Tony says. Bucky follows him.

"Lay her down on the bed." Tony says.

Bucky walks over and starts to lower you down on the bed. You clutch on to him tighter. "No no no! They'll get me! Don't let them get me!" You scream. Bucky stands back up straight.

Tony runs over to you. "Hey y/n. It's me Tony." He says.

"No! No! I don't know you! Don't hurt me!" You scream.

"How did you get her to recognize you?" Tony asks Bucky.

"I don't know." Bucky says.

"Did you call her something that would make her recognize it was you?" Tony asks.

"I called her păpuşă." Bucky says.

"Call her it again." Tony says.

"Don't hurt me please!" You yell. You turn your head into Bucky's chest.

"Your okay. No ones going to hurt you păpuşă." Bucky says.

You start breathing normally. "Tony. Where's Tony?" You ask.

"Hey I'm right here." Tony say.

"Tony." You say and sigh with relief.

Bucky goes to put you down. "No!" You say and clutch onto him tighter.

"Okay okay." Bucky says.

"Hey y/n. Was it them?" Tony asks.

You nod. You turn your head back into Bucky's chest and whimper.

"Okay it's okay. Everything is going to be okay. They don't need you anymore. Dads dead so they shouldn't keep coming after you." Tony says.

"They wanted me even when they knew dad was dead." You say.

"I know. But I'm pretty sure that Bruce and I scared the living shit out of them, they shouldn't bother you." Tony says.

You start shaking your head no uncontrollably. "No. No. No. No. They could still want me. What would happen if they found me and tried to take me?" You ask.

"We won't let them. I'll do everything I can to protect you." Tony says.

"Me too." Bucky says.

After doing a couple breathing exercises with Tony, Bucky carried you back to your room. He starts to set you down on your bed. You clutch onto him. "No please don't." You say.

"Y/n you have to sleep." Bucky says.

"Please don't set me down. They'll get me." You say.

"Okay how about this." Bucky says. He gets into your bed and lays you on top of him. He pulls the blankets up to cover you two.

"Is this okay?" Bucky asks.

"What if they get me?" You ask.

"I'll be here to protect you păpuşă." Bucky says. He starts playing with your hair. He hums a song and you fall asleep.
