"Will you be here when I wake up?" You ask scared that you'll have another nightmare if he's not here.
"If you want me to păpuşă." Bucky says.
"Yes please." You say. Bucky continues to play with your hair until you fall back asleep.
The next day you spent it following Tony around as he yelled at you to do this and that. Several people tried to get into a meeting with him that they didn't schedule. And like usual, it was your job to shoo them away.
"Y/n I asked for Carson Lynne not Michael Stun." Tony says.
"Sorry. Give me a second." You say. You make a quick call to Carson and he says he can't come in.
"Carson Lynne is busy today. He can't come in." You say.
"Well he probably would've been able to come in if you called him first instead of Michael Stun!" Tony snaps.
You hate work Tony. He's mean as hell. The kind of mean that makes you want to cry.
"Sorry." You mumble.
"Just go. I can't have any more mistakes happen today." Tony says. You set the laptop down and head to the elevator. You reach your room and change into sweats and a t-shirt. You decide to grab your sneakers and a hoodie.
You head outside and go for a walk on one of the trails the tower has outside. You're about a quarter of a mile in, when you decide to go off trail and find your secret spot.
The waterfall comes into view. You reach it and take your shoes off to put your feet in the water.
After staying here, drinking it all in, you decided to head back to the tower. The walk back was simple. Birds chirping and singing songs. Leaves crunching beneath your feet as fall comes to an end. The tower comes back into view.
The air conditioning hits you as you open the door. "Why is is cold in here?" You ask yourself. Shrugging it off, you head to the elevator.
Yawing, you press your floor button. Tony wore you out today. With all his mean talk and yelling. The ride up to your floor seemed long and painful.
Finally, the doors open and you walk out. Bucky's in the kitchen eating a plumb. You walk over to the freezer and grab a carton of ice cream. Then, you grab a spoon.
"You should start eating healthier." Bucky says.
"You should start buying hair dye. I think I can see a bit of grey in your little beard there." You say. Bucky rolls his eyes. You smirk with satisfaction and walk to your room.
Like always, Bucky watches you walk away. Admiring the way your body moves with every step you take. It seems that you add more swag after roasting someone. He smiles to himself and takes another bite of his plumb.
When you walk in your room, the first thing you do is sit on you bed. You open the carton of ice cream and start eating it. Your phones starts ringing.
"Y/n where the hell are you?" Tony asks.
"In my room." You say.
"You're supposed to be working for me." Tony says.
"You sent me away. Said you couldn't have anymore mistakes happen today." You say.
"Well I changed my mind. Get your ass down here." Tony says.
"No." You say.
"Excuse me?" Tony says.
"I said no." You say.
"Don't talk to me that way." Tony says.
"What are you gonna do? Kick me out? Go ahead. I was doing fine in my own before you. I'll do fine on my own without you." You say.
"Fine. Then pack your things. I want you gone by 5." Tony says.
"Gladly." You say. You hang up and grab a duffel bag. You start putting clothes in it. Bathroom shit too.
"Going somewhere păpuşă?" Bucky asks. You look up and see him standing in your doorway.
"Uh yea. I'm leaving." You say.
"When are you coming back?" Bucky asks.
"Probably never." You say.
"What?" Bucky says.
"Tony kicked me out." You say.
"What? That's insane!" Bucky says.
"Yea well. It is what it is." You say.
You zip up your bag and walk over to Bucky. You stand in front of him. "See ya terminator." You say.
"Bye păpuşă." Bucky says. He kisses your forehead. You smile at him. For a moment you don't want to leave, but you do. You walk to the elevator and let it lead you to the lobby.
Without looking back, you walk out the front door of the tower.
