The Man Who Killed Them

Chapter 36

"Alright we're at my vacation home." Tony announces. You gently shake Bucky awake. "Hey Tony, why didn't I know about this house?" You ask.

"I don't have to tell you everything little sister." Tony says.

"Is this your house, or moms and Howard's?" You ask. Tony looks at you, "It was moms and dads, but now it's ours I guess." He says.

"Thanks for telling me big bro." You say.

Everyone gets off of the jet. Bucky rests his head on your shoulder. "Are you still sleepy?" You ask. Bucky mumbles something. "What?" You ask.

"I didn't sleep well on the flight. I kept waking up. I got at least an hour." Bucky says. You pat the top of his head. "My poor baby." You say. "Mhm." Bucky says.

You wrap your arms around him and help him walk. Steve grabbed your guys' bags for you. Tony told everyone which rooms they have. The house is a fricken mansion. A mansion you didn't know you had.

Steve opens the door to yours and Bucky's room. "Thank you Steve." You say. Steve smiles and walks out. You close the door and drop Bucky on the bed.

He reaches out for you and wiggles his fingers at you. You walk over to him and he grabs you. Trapping you in his arms.

"Bucky." You say. Bucky puts his head in the crook of your neck. "Hum." Bucky says.

"Please don't fall asleep right now." You whisper. All that you get responded with is a soft snore. You groan.

You try and break out of his grasp. Bucky tightens his grip and pulls you closer. Mumbling some nonsense. He throws his leg over yours.

This is great. I have to pee.

Deciding to embrace it, you close your eyes. Soon enough, you fall asleep.

A few hours later, Bucky wakes up to you asleep. His leg is still draped over yours. He brushes the hair out of your face and places a kiss to your lips.

You kiss him back in your sleep. Bucky smiles to himself.

You open your eyes and see Bucky looking at you. "Were you watching me sleep?" You ask.

"Yes." Bucky says shamelessly. "Butterfly kisses!" Bucky yells. He starts fluttering his eye lashes against your cheeks. You giggle. "Stop Bucky!" You yell. Bucky chuckles and pulls back. "Eskimo kiss!" Bucky yells. He presses his nose to yours. You giggle.

There's a knock at the door. "Come in!" You yell and pull away from Bucky.

The door opens and Tony walks in. "Hey lovebirds. We're having pizza for dinner. You guys can come down or you can stay up here and come down later. No guarantee there will be any pizza left." Tony says.

"We'll be down in a minute." You say. Tony nods and closes the door.

"You really wanna have dinner with the team?" Bucky asks. You shrug, "Why not." You say. Bucky smiles and kisses you.

The two of you head downstairs. The first thing you see is Scott laughing at something Steve said.

"Scott has a huge man crush on Steve." You say to Bucky. Bucky chuckles.

Everyone else joins. You sit at the table next to Wanda. Bucky sits next to you. He leans in and kisses your neck.

"Aww you guys are back together." Wanda says. "Why didn't you tell me?" She asks.

"Yea what the hell y/n." Nat says.

"It just happened yesterday." You say.

"Wait, back together? So you guys have already been together?" Thor asks.

"Yea. Y/n and Bucky were together while her and I were together." Sam says.

"Wow Sam. Thanks for making me sound like a whore." You joke. Sam smiles.

"Kinda were." Tony says. You throw a slice of pizza at Tony. Tony throws one back.

"Okay guys. Knock it off." Steve says.

Tony sticks his tongue out at you. You retaliate.

"Can we continue the story of y/n, Bucky, and Sam please?" Scott asks.

"Right." Sam says. "Anyways, y/n told me about her and Bucky before y/n and I became official. I told y/n that I didn't mind what she was doing with Bucky. That was a lie. Bucky and I both didn't like the idea of seeing y/n with the other. Y/n and I eventually broke up. And then apparently her and Bucky broke up. And now they're back together."

"Why did you and Bucky break up?" Scott asks you.

"Uh, it was just a misunderstanding." You say. Bucky looks at you confused. You give him a smile.

After dinner, you head back up to your room. Bucky lays back down on the bed. "Are you still tired?" You ask. He nods.

"Okay, well, I'm gonna take a shower." You say. Bucky mumbles something. You smile and grab your pjs.

When you come out of the bathroom, Bucky is laying on the bed under the blankets. You crawl in next to him. He rolls over to look at you.

"What did you mean by misunderstanding?" Bucky asks.

You inhale deeply, "Well, I realize that if anyone did something like that to you, I would probably kill them as well."

Bucky smiles. "Aww my girlfriend would protect me." He says. You kiss him. "I'll always protect you Bucky." You say. Bucky kisses you again. He smiles, "And I'll always protect you."
