After Mrs.Curtis was done giving birth to Ponyboy.
Darry and Sodapop were allowed to come in and Visit their new little brother.
"What are you gonna name him?" The Doctor Said
"We don't know." Mr.Curtis said
"Well how about Michael?" Mrs.Curtis Said
"Well, I kinda was thinking that for his middle name."
"Alright, Well how about you two?" Mrs.Curtis asked Darry and Soda. Sodapops eyes lit up and ran out of the room.
"What was that all about?" Mrs.Curtis laughed
"I think he wants to show you something." Darry said
Sodapop then came in with a paper that had a drawing in it.
He lifted it up and showed it to everyone, The drawing wasn't the best, It's was what any three year old boy would draw. It was a Pony, Sodas favorite animal.
"Pony...boy." Mr.Curtis thought
"So, Ponyboy Michael Curtis!" Mrs.Curtis smiled
"That's his name."
And the rest was history...
