Ponyboy X Reader (Grease The Musical)

So, Imagine it's the year after the film Grease was released so the year is 1979 cause the film was released at 1978 🤓👍

Ponyboys Pov:

I stood along the school build board debating weather I should join Drama Club. "Just do it man." Johnny supported
"I don't know..." I sighed
We then saw my crush Y/N walk up to the school board signing the paper for Drama Club.
Johnny smirked at me.
"C'mon, Y/N's doing it, maybe you have a chance to be with her." "But...What if the gang tease me for it." "They do that anyway." I stood silent for a moment. "That's it, I'm gonna do it." I walked up to the build board and sighed my name under Y/N's. What have I gotten myself into.....

~~~~~~~~~The Audition~~~~~~~~~~

I sat in the corner with my knee bouncing up and down as they were calling names for the audition, other kids were singing songs From Grease to kill time. I couldn't help but look at Y/N who seemed to be to shy and nervous for the audition. I decided I should make a move. I walked the across the room and sat besides her.

"You nervous?" I asked "Yeah." She sighed "Me too, But hey...What I've learned from watching behind the scenes and interviews of Actors from some of my favorite films is that everyone gets nervous."
"Did they give any pointers?" She smiled "Don't let your nerves get to you and don't care nor worry of what the crowd or people around you think, just crush it." I gave a charming grin.

The Drama teacher walked in with a clipboard "Y/N L/N." She called, Y/N Got up, before she walked away she thanked me.

Soon it was my turn. Gosh was I nervous. They handed me a script for Danny Zuko
"Okay Ponyboy read from the script and act it out." She informed I nodded and did as she said. Soon it was the singing, which was something I completely forgot about.
I mean, I've been told once by Soda who heard me singing in the shower that I had a good voice but I was convinced I had a voice of a Billy goat.

Soon the audition was done and I sprinted out of the room as fast as I can, I felt as if I did awful.

I walked into my house to see Johnny was the only one there, I assume Dally was out causing trouble. "How was it?" He asked
"I felt as if I did awful Johnny, I probably embarrassed myself infront of Y/N." I crashed on the couch.
"Don't say that, I bet you did great but you just didn't realize it." "Sure."

~~~~~~~The Casting List~~~~~~~~

After school me and Johnny rushed into the crowd of other kids seeing the casting list.
I read it carefully.
'Y/N L/N.....Sandy Olsson'
"Wow, Y/N Got the main role!" I said "Hey Ponyboy, You got Danny Zuko!" Johnny said.
It took me a second to take in what he had just told me.
"What?!" "Mhm." He smirked
"Doesn't Sandy and Danny, Become a thing?" I asked
"Yeah...I have a good feeling about the two of you Pone." He nudged me. "I'm gonna have to tell my brothers now." I groaned "And the gang." Johnny added.

We went home to see everyone came early. It took me about three hours till I gained the courage to tell them.
"So...Darry, Soda...I joined." I stood silent for a moment
"Joined what?" Soda asked
"The...The Drama Club." I winced waiting for their remarks "Really?! No wonder I haven't seen ya in days! Yiu were at the audition for the Grease Musical weren't you?" Twobit said "Yeah...I was."
"What role did you get?" Soda asked "I bet he got the role as a tree!" Steve joked.
"Welk actually I got Danny Zuko." I said "John Travolta?!" Twobit yelled in shock
"Yeah." I smiled "Who got Sandy?" Soda asked "Ponys crush Y/N." Johnny blurted.
"OOOooooOooo!" Twobit nudged me. I couldn't help but blush.

(Time skip to about two months later cause that's how long it takes for musical to be just right👍)

Me and Y/N had to be there days on end to get our lines and choreography right. Me and her actually started hanging out...Sometimes we'd meet up at my place and practice our lines together or just talk to eachother. Every time I seen her bright eyes and beautiful face I couldn't help but fall harder for her. I didn't know how to tell her. I wish I knew how to but I couldn't quiet figure out. And next weeks the actually Show.

~~~~~~Public Preformance~~~~~~~

I looked through the curtains to see the gang sitting in the front row...I wished they sat far back. I felt a tap on the shoulder to see Y/N she was wearing the costume for Sandy boy she looked beautiful "Ponyboy I'm to nervous! How am I gonna do this?" She panicked
"Shh, Calm down its alright, take deep breaths." I said softly she did as I said
"How am I gonna preform infront of all of those people?" She sighed "Remember what I said before you auditioned?"
She nodded "Don't worry of what others think of you." "Just crush it." I added.

She gave me a soft smile and hugged me, "Thank you Ponyboy, I don't know what I'd do without you." She then walked away. Soon we had gotten to our starting points and The show had begun.

We both did the begging scene where we say our love vows, Promising we'd soon meet again.
"I'm going back to Australia." Y/N said her lines "Don't talk that way Sandy." I said
"I've just had the best summer and now I have to leave."
"It isn't fair!" "Danny don't spoil it." "It's not spoiling it...it's making it better."
We waited for a second to make it more dramatic.
"Danny, is this the end?" She asked "No, It's only the beginning." The lights then went out, the crowd applauded.

Me and Y/N Ran around getting changed to our other costumes.
We then started the scene where we had to sing 'Summer Lovin'

All of us sang along and I think heard Twobit singing along from afar.

I had some time to relax when Y/N had to sing 'Hoplessly Devoted' I heard her sing, she had the voice of an angel, Passionate and pure.

We then went through the rest of the scene and finally we ended it of by Singing
'Your The One That I Want'

Soon it was the bows, the song Grease was playing in the background. We were both the last to bow and I decided to make my last love. I grabbed her by the hand and spinned her and I kissed her, I heard the gang yelling and cheering louder "GO PONYBOY!!!" "YEAH!" "GIVE HER THE TOUNGE!!!"
Y/N was caught off guard but then kissed back.

We both laughed and when the curtains closed she kissed me herself. "I love you Ponyboy."
"I love you too."

After that I was glad to call her My Girl.
