Chapter 7 - Arrested!

" what are you boys doing out so late" he said in a very gruff voice
" we were...we were" Doug stammered, trying to get his words out.
" OK boys you better come with me till we sort this out"
He led the boys into the back of the empty store and into a holding room.
" just so I know you got nothing stolen, all of ya strip to your underwear and throw your clothes over here.
The Boys hesitated for a moment, the last thing they wanted to do was strip off her clothes in front of some guy they didn't know I mean what happens if he was a pervert.
" now" he yelled, bringing out his knightstick and holding it menecingly.
The boys stripped off their clothes down to their white breifs and the guard who had never identified himself picked up the clothes and locked the door behind himself, leaving the boys in just their underwear.
After he locked the door, the boys were left in the room alone.
The guard went to the office and reported what he had found
About 20 minutes later he got a call back that there were boys matching up to their discription involved in a homicide earler in the evening.
The guard knodded his head and called the county Sheriffs office.
10 minutes later a county sherif  named Mr. Morrison arrived and the guard took him down the hall to where the boys were.
The guard opened the door and a beefy man in a tight uniform looked at the boys standing there and smiled tightly.
"   I want to advise you boys all under arrest" the second man began" throwing Juvenile Detention uniforms at  the boys they landed on the floor
The boys got into the uniforms and button them up to their necks.
They were handcuffed and put in leg irons and led out of the store into the back of a truck that read juvenile department of correction.
After the short ride to county jail they were locked up in single cells, awaiting their lawyers.
Five hours later  the boys pulic defence lawyers and each of them was questioned seperatly in interview A.
Four hours after that they were taken to arraignment court part 5.
" all rise" the bailiff commanded
All the people in the court room rose in unison as the boys were brought to the court room.
A stern looking man of 75 with the  name  plate reading " The honourable Alvin Graham" looked down menacing at the boys.
Their lawyers tried to argue different motions and points of law but it was to no avail, each of the boys was given a sentence of 25 years in prison, 4 years to be served at the Youth Correctional Facility at 21 years at The Adult Correctional Facility when they turned 18.
The judge brought down the gavel and the boys were led out of the court room to a holding room where they would be incarcerated at Robert g Murry youth correction facility.
The Boys were loaded in the back of a windowless truck and it edged forward onto 7th avenue.
3 hours later the truck arrived at a large imposing building with 15 foot high walls and razor wire on top.
