Derek walked down the hall and Dean joined him in the hallway.
" hey"
out into the street, a cold wind swirled around him and he pulled his jean jacket around him to stay warm.
As Derek and Dean turned onto 18th they felt a cold hand grab them by the shoulder.
" DEA" YOUR BOTH UNDER ARREST
dean and Derek were both handcuffed and stuffed in the back of a police car. They were driven to DEA headquarters and taken to a room on the 17th floor. There they were interrogated by a man named Mr Alexander and Mr dupuis.
" let me get right to the point" the 1st man said bluntly
" we have you both for drug trafficking, and if you don't tell us everything you know about the operation, you will both be spending a long time in the youth rehad center.
The youth rehab center had been an urban legand on the street, but no one had ever been able to confirm it, no one ever escaped, and anyone sent there served long sentences.
Dean and Derek looked at each other and said in unison:
" WE WANT A LAWYER"
The man in the dark suits gathered up their folders and walked out of the interrogation room waiting on the boys lawyer who arrived about 35 minutes later. He was a slight man and a cheap ugly looking suit with a battered briefcase and glasses from legal aid. He went in to see the boys in the interrogation room and after a consultation with the boys the cops in the dark suits joined them in the interrogation room.
" after Consulting with my clients they do not wish to provide any information with regard to the drug operation you're referring to"
" fine" the first man said
"you little bastards can rot in jail for all I care"
One of the men gathered up all the papers and put them in his briefcase and the other took Dean and Derek out for arraignment in Criminal Court part 5. There they were read the charges against them and their lawyer waved the usual motions and a trial date was set. The boys were led back to a cell were they waited for trial. 3 Days Later trial was held in Criminal Court part 27. The boys Dean and Derek were both convicted on seven counts each of drought trafficking and numerous other crimes and sentenced to 5 years each in the youth rehab center.
