Trust me (Todoroki x reader)

Chapter 27

Todoroki watched the whole world around him go back to normal, but you were gone.

Looking down at his hands, he looked at your mask with a heavy heart and slowly trudged back towards the group who where helping their teachers up.

"Where'd she go?" Aizawa asked desperately.

He glanced around but he couldn't find you, until finally his gaze landed on Todoroki who held your mask tightly.

"I'm sorry sir, she got away. She said she was going to take revenge on the heroes who tore her family apart."

Todoroki sat down and set the mask in front of him.

"All Might sir, she mentioned something about he scar on her face."

Toshinori sat up with a groan, and nodded his head.

"She told you I gave it to her, didn't she?"

Everyone was in shock.

"What scar?! How the hell did you give it to her?! What the hells going on?!" Bakugo snarled.

"I suppose you should tell them." Nezu spoke coming over, "it's time you know the story behind the girl wanted by all hero and villain organisations alike. Come by the school tomorrow and everything shall be explained."

The students reluctantly agreed, and they were sent to stay at another dorm while theirs was being repaired, and when morning hit they were all sat in a large office with Aizawa, All Might, Nezu and a few other pro hero's.

"Will you explain what's going on now sir?" Iida asked.

"Yeah, it's confusing." Sero groaned.

Nezu smiled brightly and pulled up your file on a big screen.

"I'm sure you're all aware of (Y/N) and what she's capable off. Though the reason why she was brought here was not explained. We brought her here to try and keep her out of the hands of villains and coax her into being a hero. She's powerful, she would be an asset to both sides. UA have been trying to find her since she was a child, that's where All Might first met her."

Toshinori sighed and nodded, standing up as he took over the presentation. There were pictures of a nice house with a beautiful garden. Then a family photo, with two bright and happy children and two adults.

"Who are they?" Yaoyorozu asked.

"This is the (L/N) family. Heroes were dispatched to arrest Adrian, (Y/N)s father and their mother Marian. It was suspected they were villains in hiding."

"So what happened?" Jiro asked next.

"Well, Adrian's quirk is he can control any living thing by its blood. I'm sure a few of you have seen (Y/N) do it too."

When he said this, Toshinori looked straight at Bakugo who growled and looked away.

"He was our first target, but Marian had no intention of letting us at him. She went to freeze is all besides him, Aizawa saw this and erased this, what we didn't know about her quirk was that while slowing down time, it sped her cells and heart rate up. When Aizawa took it away, unfortunately she passed away."

Everyone gasped, and Toshinori looked down sadly.

"Angered by this, Adrian trapped everyone in his quirk, but trapping so many people at once meant I could escape. I went to punch him, but (Y/N) jumped in the way, I was able to stop at last minute for the most part, but some of the impact still hit her, resulting in a scar across her face."

They changed the slide to show another picture, it was of a man, not much older than them, with a similar mask to yours hanging from the side of his face.

"This is Lucio (L/ N), the oldest son of the family. He's been trying to figure out a way to get to their father for a while, and we believe he's coaxed (Y/N) into joining him."

"If she joins him does that mean she'll attack us?"

Todoroki stood up, gaining everyone's attention.

"No, (Y/N) won't attack any of us. She told me we're not the ones she wants to fight, only those who took away her family."

Nezu stood on the table, and changed the slide to show a man in a hospital bed.

"She will when she finds out that the government were running illegal experiments on her father, and that he's now in a coma, he has been for a while. We must find her before she goes rouge."

Everyone mumbled to themselves, Aizawa stood up from the table and walked over to Todoroki taking the mask and walked away.

He held it in his hands as he headed back to the dorm, going straight to your room he set it on your bed and sat down.

"Please... I made a promise to your mother... don't make me have to break it..." he muttered walking away
