The baby cry awakened Sujeong from her short slumber, where most of her nights now devoted to care of her newborn baby; Euntak. Where day would be unending war between Mijoo, Soul, and her mother-in-law, night is between Sujeong and Euntak. But Sujeong is surely grateful. At least there is someone with her to pull her through these hard days.

Not to mention the sudden appearance of an alter ego named Chaerin, or CL.

The meeting of CL and Sujeong was surely unprecedented; with CL appearing before her when she was close to giving birth of Euntak. With her heart in full despair and grievance over her husband's gruesome death, her health starting to turn south. It was after the wake of Jisoo's funeral her health took a new time low, collapsing while helping her mother-in-law in the kitchen.

It was between life and death for both Sujeong and her baby, with the stress and depression were the main cause. It was then someone reached out to her; a woman in white hair and blue eyes, standing beside her as she saw herself being resuscitated by the doctors and nurses in the operation room.

"Is... Is this the end?" Sujeong looked at the woman, tears streaming down from her eyes down to her chin.

"The answer lies in you. Live or die, it is always in your hand." The woman sighed, folding her arms together.

"Are you Paritegi?"

"The goddess who guides dead souls to the Underworld? Far from it. I'm more of a wrathful goddess, and what I need right now is a vessel."

"Vessel?" Sujeong turned to the woman, frowning. The woman looked at Sujeong with a smile on her face, but there was nothing malicious about that smile at all.

"Yes. A vessel. But I'm not asking it for free though. Of course I'll pay you." The moment the woman touches Sujeong's arm, the electrocardiogram immediately gives a stable reading, indicating Sujeong's heart finally able to give out a steady heartbeat rate. But as soon as the woman lifts her fingers, the electrocardiogram starts to give out an abnormal reading once more, with Sujeong returning into a myocardial infarction state.

"Be my vessel, and you and your baby will live. And I'm not asking you to trade your soul for your baby's life, just asking for your body to move around. Cuz I got something needed to be done in this world."

"And what is that?"

"Curious?" The woman raised her eyebrow, grinning as she extended her hand to Sujeong. Her hand's trembling as she slowly reaches to the woman's hand, Sujeong is weighing her option. But the electrocardiogram suddenly flatlining, making everyone in the operation room turning on their overdrive mode.

"You ain't got much time now. Human brain can only survive without oxygen between three to six minutes. The doctors might be able to save your baby via caesarian, but I personally think it is sad for the baby to live without knowing who its parent is." It is a no brainer for Sujeong. Immediately she grabs the woman's hand hard, jumpstarting Sujeong's heart once more.

"I'm Chaerin, by the way. Thanks for agreeing, Ryu Sujeong." CL shakes firmly Sujeong's hand.

"Do I have a choice?" Sujeong glares at CL, watching doctors trying to stabilize her to perform C-section to save her baby.

"No, but you chose wisely."

"I wish I have a real body right now, so I can help you with Euntak." CL sighs, watching Sujeong breastfeeding Euntak from the armchair.
