"So, you're saying there is someone aiming at our schoolgirls?" Soyeon lit her cigarette, passing the lighter to JiU.
"Rachel saved one of the target. POI is Trent Choi, second year." She took a deep sip, relishing on the taste of tobacco on her tongue.
JiU gathered the leader of Idle and Mamamoo for a meeting regarding the incident in Idle's private room as soon as she heard the news from SuA. It is easy for her and her team to paint the school red with Trent's blood but in this new world, Dreamcatcher has a persona to live with. So she cannot carelessly move or it would put their real identities in jeopardy. And she has had enough screwups as it is.
"We have to put the net up. I'll get Wheein on the details later. Anyone on your team can gather intels?" She asked them.
"Minnie got a lot of connection with people. I'll tell her to ask around, see what she can dig up." Soyeon offered.
"I'll get Rachel to help Wheein. But Soyeon, tell Minnie to be as discreet as possible. This is a huge web and we don't know how many and how big of spiders in it. One screwup, someone is gonna lay down in the cold hard ground." JiU warned her.
"Alright. But for now, what should we do?" Soyeon asked for the immediate course of action.
"Keep a lookout, watch for his action. Anything sketchy, report back to me."
"Spoken like a true policewoman." Soyeon applauded. Hwasa's eyes bulged, she demanded an explanation from JiU.
"Sorry. I crossed path with Moonbyul way before you Mamamoo entered this school while she was on duty. Put the two and two together." Soyeon shrugged, smug on her face.
"That stupid fox... Does she has the word discretion in her dictionary?!" Hwasa pinched her nose bridge.
"I think that friend of ours doesn't even have a dictionary." JiU chuckled.
"Hey, Jang Yeeun. What's her story?" JiU suddenly asked Soyeon.
"What about her?"
"Well, the victim is one of her crew. Rachel told me her reaction when she heard the incident was quite explosive."
"Huh, I didn't know she has that kind of character in her. She spent most of her days here sleeping if not skipping class. The only thing that prevented her from being expelled is her academic record."
"Academic record?"
"Natural born genius. She's the only one in our batch that scored a perfect scores in our entrance exam. There's a rumour that the school forced her to retake the exam twice, still the same results. Also she's the only one that entered here with full scholarship and benefits." She explained to them. Hwasa whistled in amazement.
"But why did you brought her up, anyway?" Soyeon asked JiU.
"Well, if she is a closet berserker, there's a high possibility that she will derails our investigation on Trent Choi. We need to keep her in check to prevent that." JiU expressed her thought.
"What do you propose?" Hwasa extinguished the butt on the ashtray.
"Include her in the fold. I know it's a long run, but she's the uncontrollable element. Besides, she did warn Sorn before about that bastard. Maybe there's something about her would be valuable to our investigation." Hwasa and Soyeon sighed at her proposal. Taking out the unknown variable would definitely adding to the plan's success, but honestly they do not have faith in the idea of bringing Yeeun into the fold.
"Lily, that's quite a risky gamble there..." Hwasa shook her head.
"Well, another idea is that we threaten her, but I don't think it will have the desirable effect. If this happens to any of us, even we wouldn't keep still." Soyeon tried to reason with Hwasa.
