There was an orphanage in Loz and amongst the orphans were three Asian girls aged 5 and 7. Yiren and Serim, or Onda were six, and Jiwon, known as E:U now was eight. These three were pretty tight with each other and whenever they went, all three will be together no matter what they were doing.

Yiren was always the quiet one, and despite Jiwon being the eldest, Serim seemed to be always the leader of their little group of rugrats. The orphanage was poor but at least they have their basic necessities covered. Life was hard but peaceful and everyday is filled with colours for all three of them.

"Onda, what do you want to be when you grow up?" Yiren asked Onda out of the blue one day during dinner. Onda, with mouth still full of food stood on the dinner table, answered her.

"I wanna be rich! So rich I will have no worries about what I'm about to eat next! Me, the Great Onda will take care of you and E:U Unnie. Bwahahaha!!!" She laughed heartily, boasting her dream.

"Onda! Get down here before the caretaker whacks you again!" E:U pulled on her legs to get her down.

"Aish! How can you be rich? You're dumber than a rock! Stupid people can't be rich!" E:U hit Onda's arm.

"Hey! That is so uncalled for! I am stupid but even stupid people can be rich! We, stupid can dream too!" Onda bickered with E:U, making Yiren laughed.

"Yah! Don't laugh! I will be so rich that I will live in a mansion. I will have food, clothes, and all the pretty things in the world!"

"Oh yeah? Then what's five minus three?" Yiren smirked. It caught Onda off guard. She took out her fingers, counting them out.

"Err... Seven?" Onda showed her fingers to them. E:U and Yiren exploded in laughter, slamming their hands on the table.

"Yeah. Keep on dreaming, dumdum. But if there is a slight chance you will ever get rich one day, don't forget about us, okay?" E:U patted on Onda's head, making her pouts.

"Why would I forget about you two? We will live together like now too! Right?" Onda looked at them both. The answer turned Yiren and E:U silent.

"Well, I'll be counting on that promise. Hehe~~" Yiren smiled.

But like all things in life, everything has its ends. With no donation and aid from anyone, the orphanage where the trio lived had to be closed down. Yiren was among the lucky one to be in the adoption list. Onda and E:U on the other hand were the unlucky. A rich man came for Yiren, in big car and nice suit with a few men, which appeared to be his entourage.

"Yiren, wait!" Onda ran after her, holding herself back from crying. She grabbed onto Yiren's hand, putting something into her palm.

"What is this?" Yiren examined it closely.

"Happy birthday, my friend. It's a bracelet."

"You made it yourself?" Onda nodded. And now, sliver of tears fell down from her eyes, a mere sniff turns into sobbing.

"Thank you, Onda." Yiren kissed Onda's cheek, hugging her friend tighter than ever. Onda starting to wail into Yiren's shoulder.

"One day! One day, we will live together again!" Onda cried out loud. Yiren patted on the back of Onda's head to calm her friend down.

"Not if I find you first. I will always wear this so when you see it in the future, you will know it's me."

"Let's go, kid. We ain't got all day." The man in suit tapped on his watch, clicking his tongue. Yiren broke the embrace and follow the man into the car.

"Yiren! Yiren!" Onda tried to run after her, but E:U hold her off.

The image of Yiren waving away from inside the car imprinted deep and strong inside Onda's and E:U's memory. For after that day, Yiren is neither to be seen nor heard again.
