Vision of Horrors

Anna

As the night approached once more, Anna climbed into bed holding a teddy her parents got her as a baby tight to her chest. Lorraine came in with a smile on her face as she bent down and kissed Anna goodnight. Ed came in and did the same. When they closed the door, a strong fear rose in her body. I am alone. What if someone tries to hurt me? What if I have another vision? What if my heart begins to rise again? Half an hour passed as Anna got more and more scared. Her parents were now in bed next door to her. She could hear them giggling through the wall. I want Mom. I can't sleep.

You got up, taking the teddy with you as you knocked on your parents' door. You turned the doorknob and entered slowly. Lorraine was looking right at you while Ed was reading a book. "What's wrong, Anna."

"Mom I can't sleep. I am scared."

"What of?"

"Everything." Lorraine smiled as she lifted the covers. You got in, sitting at the side of her as she wrapped her arms around you. Ed looked over and smiled as he knew this meant you were staying with your Mom. Lorraine pulled the covers over to cover Anna up more as Ed lost the last bit of warmth he had. He rolled his eyes as he smiled across at the two of them.

"Do I not get any warmth then?" A smile entering his face as he said it.

"Ed stop being a baby. It's not that cold." Anna began to shake, moving in closer to her mother. Lorraine looked back at her kissing her head and rocking her slowly.

"Come on sweetie lets go back to your bed."

"No Mom don't leave me."

"I won't, I'll sleep in your room." Lorraine lent over to Ed, kissing him on the cheek.

"Do you want me to come tuck you both in?" Ed smiled as he looked across at the two of them. Lorraine smirked as she nodded her head. All three of them walked back into Anna's room. Anna got in first up against the wall as Lorraine got in at her side, wrapping her arms around her. Ed moved the cover-up to the shoulders of the two of them as he kissed them both goodnight.

I wish she were alright staying in her own presence. I miss Ed sometimes; it's not that I don't love Anna or Judy dearly, but their beds are really small, so I hang on the edge all night. "It's alright now sweetie. Lets get some rest yeah." I continued to rub my fingers through her hair as her eyes drifted off to sleep. As I drifted off myself, I felt so tired.

I could hear screaming, who is making so much noise. I rolled over to see Anna rolling around in clear distress. I shook her, trying to wake her up. "Anna sweetie, honey it's just a bad dream your alright." She continued to roll around screaming. Ed came in the door, clearly hearing the screams from next door. I moved out of the bed as Ed shook our daughter.

"Anna, Anna." She opened her eyes, shaking with fear. I ran back over, putting my arms around her as she began to cry.

"Your alright sweetie we have got you."

"Mom he is here. He wants to hurt you and Dad."

"Who is here?" Ed looked at me in confusion.

"Ed just go and check on Judy, hon please."

"No I want to know who is here?"

"Ed please don't make a fuss." He rolled her eyes as he walked back out of the room. "You're alright now. Tell me what you saw."

"You were underground somewhere. Dad had a huge hammer in his hand and was chasing you around these tunnels. His eyes weren't his. The black figure was following him trying to get him to kill you. He swung towards you, and I shut my eyes. I couldn't look Mommy; I couldn't watch him hurt you. Then this figure gave Dad a knife and he stabbed himself. The figure turned to me and laughed as it walked towards me and I woke up." I felt my stomach sink and turn all at the same time. Ed came back in the room with Judy now, who was in tears.

"Oh Judy sweetie, everything's alright." Judy got up on the bed beside me as I put my other arm around her.

"I'm sorry Judy I didn't mean to scare you."

"It's okay Anna I know you didn't mean to." Judy lent across, hugging her sister tight.

"Come on Judy lets get you tucked back in bed. It's really late, say goodnight to Anna and Mommy." Judy kissed us both and waved as she left the room.

"Mom I'm sorry."

"It's alright baby." Ed walked back in this time with a determined look on his face.

"Right will someone tell me what's going on. Now."

"Darling calm down, basically Anna keeps seeing a black figure trying to kill me and you in her vision."

"Oh Anna I'm sorry. I promise me and your Mom will be safe and we will always be here to look after you and Judy."
