Anna

Mom's arm was still wrapped around me tight; it's like she doesn't roll over all night so that she can keep hold of me. I didn't want to move either, but I knew my alarm for school would go off any second. There it was, that awful buzzing sound. God, I hate school everyone thinks I'm a freak because of my parents, and I don't really talk much to anyone in the building. They are all horrible, that's why. Mom groaned as she finally woke to the dreadful noise. She quickly rolled over and hit the clock hard. It stopped abruptly as she rolled back over, rubbing her eyes. "Good morning sweetie."

"Morning Mom."

"You don't have to get up yet because I don't want you going to school today I think we need to get that appointment with the doctors instead." I mean, I was happy no school but was I happy about having to visit the doctor instead? Not really.

"Okay Mom." There was a knock on the door as I just started falling back asleep. Dad entered with Judy; they both looked at us in complete confusion.

"And why have we both not adventured out of bed yet?"

"Oh Hun I was thinking if I want to take Anna to the doctors I would be better keeping her off today just to make sure we get seen."

"I suppose that's a good idea but, school is also important."

"Hun it's one day her health is more important."

"Does that mean I have to get on the bus alone?"

"Yes Judy love, you'll be alright though."

"Mom I don't want to go alone. There are all really tall and older people on the bus. They will came me names because I'm alone."

"Hey Judy if a single one of them calls you a name tell me, and I'll find them and beat them tomorrow."

"Anna.. you shouldn't be beating up other children."

"But Mom they are bullying Judy and me."

"That is no reason for violence. Judy come sit here on the bed with us." As she walked over, I knew this was going to be a Mom tells us off but doesn't really tell us off moment. "I know its not easy for you girls when everyone knows who we are but that doesn't mean I want you hurting them. Just think they are little babies, all of them okay, no beating anyone up it's just not nice."

"But Mom."

"No I won't tell you again. Now Judy you are going to have a nice ride into school because your Dad will take you and pick you up later and Anna we are going to get ready so we can visit the doctor understand."

"Yes Mom."

"Good because I love you both okay and I won't let anyone upset you not even your Dad because then I'll tell him off." They winked at each other and smiled softly as they looked into each other's dreamy eyes.

Lorraine

God, thank you for blessing me which such a loving and beautiful family. They are everything to me, and I don't know what I would do without them. Ed walked over towards the three of us as she leant down to kiss me. He put his hand out to Judy as she stood up from the bed.

"Goodbye sweetie we will see you later. I love you."

"Love you too Mom." As the door closed behind them, I looked back at Anna with a huge smile on my face.

"Come on lets lay back down for five minutes and have a cuddle." I wrapped my arms around my baby girl, who wasn't really a baby anymore, but she would always be a baby to me. I placed my head onto hers as I kissed it. She leant close to me as I hummed an I Can't Help Falling in Love with You into her ear. I loved Elvis; he was such a brilliant musician; I sometimes wish the girls had the chance to meet him. That song made me think of Ed, though when we use to dance around the living room when the girls were younger. Anna seemed to be attached to me, even more than normal. I knew she often felt unsafe when me and Ed weren't around, but she has never been this clingy. "Honey what's wrong?"

"I am scared Mom, that something is really wrong with me."

"Aww sweetie don't be scared I'll protect you just like always. I am sure if there is something the doctor will help in every way he can right. But until we have a explanation try not to worry alright."

"I'll try."

"I love you."

"Love you too Mom." I turned over to check the time. 9 am. The doctors should be open by now. I got out of the covers and headed for the phone on the wall downstairs. It seemed to dial for ages.

"Hello" "Yes hi its Lorraine Warren calling I am wondering whether I am able to get an appointment to see the doctor today for my daughter Anna Warren." "She is having problems breathing in her sleep." "Yes 11am is fine, thank you." As I placed the phone down, a sense of relief hit my body. Anna was stood behind me; I could see the fear in her eyes.
