PART ONE
Aries had gotten a howler the morning after the sorting but before she could hear her mother's shrieks Sirius had run over and dumped the scarlet letter into the jug of pumpkin juice to muffle out the noise.
Other than her parents disapproval, Aries loved Hufflepuff. It had taken her a while but her friends made her feel welcomed and loved, something she rarely ever felt.
Dorcas and Benjy played on the Quidditch team, Aries didn't really like the sport but she would always go and support them at their matches.
And Sirius was true to his word, he made sure he got several detentions a week to make sure their parents wouldn't be angry at Aries at the end of each year, but they never forgot.
Sirius always spoke to her everyday, he made sure she was okay, at first she found it annoying but after she got howlers most days she started enjoying their talks.
Regulus on the other hand rarely spoke to her, she had tried talking to him several times but he ignored her most of the time. He would always hang around with Amycus Carrow and Barty Crouch Jr, even Alecto Carrow who was Aries best friend when they were kids never spoke to her.
But Aries didn't care, she had Dorcas and Benjy, they had become friends instantly and had been for the past four years.
"Cas, stop drooling over the Gryffindor beater." Benjy teased as he took a seat next to Aries.
"I am not drooling." Dorcas said, wiping her mouth.
"Of course not." Aries laughed.
"Oh come on, you're going to tell me she's not beautiful?" Dorcas said, looking over at Marlene McKinnon. "She's best friends with you brother isn't she?" she asked Aries.
"With James."
"Do you think he'd introduce me to her?"
"Dorcas you can't even say hello to the girl." Benjy said, taking a bite of his toast.
"I did say hello... that one time."
"No, you shouted hello. Very loudly. I think you might have frightened her." Aries said.
Dorcas ignored her friends. "What do you think sounds better, Dorcas McKinnon or Marlene Meadowes?"
Aries and Benjy shook their heads as they chuckled.
"Or... or Marlene and Dorcas Meadowes-McKinnon?"
"You know what, when you have an actual conversation with her, I will answer your question." Benjy said.
"Alright Hufflepuffs! Time for our match." the captain shouted over the table, she rounded up the team.
"Wish us luck." Benjy said.
"Good luck, make sure we win."
"Of course." Dorcas told her as they two followed the team. Gryffindor's also followed them down to the pitch.
