"How do they.." I whispered, still half in shock.
"We don't know. We've tried to track where the message came from, but they just did it in that alleyway, smashed up the phone, and threw the pieces away somewhere. They must have access to the detective files. They would've seen you help Seungmin. I don't know how you ruined their 'fun' last time, but you need to be careful." Bang Chan said.
"Whoever this is, they aren't to be messed with. They're dangerous, and I don't feel like losing another person. Everyone's moving into the house I was talking about. We need to stay safe."
"That's fair.." I said, placing my phone down.
A nurse waddled in, ushering the boys away."Your blood levels seem normal. You can be discharged today." She told me with a gently smile. "Don't over exert yourself though. Your chest may hurt for a bit, but we've assigned medicine to help." She added, before leaving.
"Well, you heard it. Let's go." I said, dropping my legs over the side of the bed.
"Y/N!" Hyunjin exclaimed, rushing over.
"Don't over do it. You're not coming to the office today, okay? Well, you're coming, but you're not doing any work. You need rest." He said, his face in a frown.
"All I've done is rest the last few days. I'm fine." I said, standing up.
"Hyunjins right, Y/N. You're not going to help us with work today. That's an order." Bang Chan said.
Hyunjin wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"I can hold myself up." I said, looking at him as we walked."I know, I just like being with you. I could pick you up if you wanted." He teased.
"I think I'll pass. You'll definitely drop me." I said.
Hyunjin pouted. "Do you not trust me?"
"Of course I do." I said, before being lifted off the floor.
"Oi! Hyunjin put me down!! I'm fine to walk!" I exclaimed, wriggling as we walked.
"Do you want me to drop you? Stay still you silly worm." He said.
When we arrived at the van, Hyunjin placed me down, letting me clamber into a seat myself.
"So.. do I just do paperwork for the rest of the day?" I asked.
"Nope. You can just lay around the office." Felix said, smiling at me. "It's the big bosses orders. It's only for today. I know it sucks but we have to comply."I sighed. "It's alright. I'll just be exceptionally annoying." I chuckled.
"You always are." Lee Know teased.
"Okay and you're not?" I said, raising an eyebrow.
"Ah, guilty as charged." He smirked.
Once we reached the office, I lay around on the couches, messing around on spinning chairs impatiently as the time ticked by.
Finally, once it was closing time, I let out an exasperated sigh. "Are we done yet? I'm so boreddd." I whined.
"In a minute, Y/N." Changbin giggled, walking over to my side.
"Okay, we're all done here. Head down to the van." Bang Chan said.
So we all did. He followed shortly after, unlocking the car.We drove in a loud chatter, small conversations buzzing in hums, warm laughter filling the cramped atmosphere.
Once we arrived at Bang Chan's grandparents home, I looked in awe.
"It's beautiful." I said under my breath.
"It is, isn't it. I've got to make sure it doesn't get trashed. My grandma would kill me." Detective Chan said with a pained sigh.
"Don't worry, I'll keep them in check." I smiled, running to the door.
Bang Chan gave a small laugh at my enthusiasm, before unlocking the door.
I instantly ran inside, exploring the cosy house.
The warm atmosphere smelt like sweet spices, bringing a sense of home to the place.
"Your grandparents must be loaded. Wow." I said, running up the stairs like an excited child.I looked at all the rooms, noticing the name tags scrawled on each door in Detective Chan's neat handwriting.
"Oh.. me and Hyunjin are sharing a room?" I noticed, breathing heavily.
"Maybe I shouldn't of ran around the place.." I said, holding me chest in agony.
"Y/N, you alright?" Changbin asked, walking up to me.
"Just.. out of breath.. water.." I panted.
He just nodded, passing me his water bottle.
I took a drink, before smiling up at him.
"Thank you." I said.
"No problem." He smiled back.
Someone shifted in the shadows of the hall, as they watched me and Changbin, before disappearing.
The same shadow that was at Seungmins place.Changbin noticed me looking behind him.
"Hm?" He asked, looking around.
"Nothing. I thought I saw a spider or something." I shrugged, standing up.
We headed downstairs, into the kitchen where Felix and Jeongin were making food.
"It smells good!" I commented.
"Why thank you." Jeongin smiled.
After about a half hour or so, our dinner was ready, and we sat around the table, talking happily.
"Oh, Y/N, we got one of your friends to collect some of your clothes from your house. They should be in the drawer." Detective Chan informed me.
"Who'd you ask?" I questioned.
"Yeji. She seemed happy enough to help." Bang Chan shrugged.
"Oh gosh.. her fashion and mine is so different.. I wouldn't be surprised if all I found was lingerie!" I sighed loudly."I'm sure it can't be that bad." Hyunjin said.
"Trust me, it could be." I said.
The next few hours passed by quickly, and before you knew it, everything was quiet.
The only noise I could hear was the steady stream of water coming from the bathroom, where Hyunjin was taking a late night shower.
Then I heard a bang sound from downstairs.
I got up as quick as I could, running down.
To find Changbin sprawled on the floor.
"Changbin!" I exclaimed, running to his side. His head was bleeding, and he was out cold.
"Stop.. interfering." A voice said. "I'm trying to keep you safe."
Before I could turn to see who it was, I felt a heavy weight hit my head.
Then it was black.
