Chapter 17

Violet: "H-he's here." She said while her voice is cracking.

Jisoo: "W-what? W-who's here?"

The girls continued comforting Violet..

Meanwhile, the mysterious man is looking at them from afar. He is determined to get Violet today no matter what it takes. He was just waiting for the girls to come out of the store.

Violet: "I..I think we should go back now." She said while picking up her shopping bag and is about to leave the store.

Jennie: "Wait, Vi. Tell us what's wrong. You're scaring us." She said.

Violet: "I will tell you once we get home, okay? For now, we need to get out of here. I'm being watched, Jen. You're right." She revealed.

Byul, Jisoo and Jennie were shocked hearing Violet's statement.

The four of them left the store and is heading to the parking lot.

The girls were starting to get afraid of what is happening with Violet. They are scared but at the same time worried for her.

Violet is about to open the door of her car, when suddenly the mysterious man showed up not far away from her.

Man: "Where do you think you're going, my love?" He said.

Violet was stopped when she heard the familiar voice. She was trembling in fear, but she wanted to stay strong in front of the man.

Jennie, Byul and Jisoo finally saw the mysterious man. Like Violet, they were also shocked.

The man is heading towards Violet. Violet couldn't move due to the shock and fear.

Man: "How are you, Violet? Finally. We met again. I've been searching for you for a very long time now."

Violet: "D-duke?"

Duke: "Yes, it's me, my love. I thought you already forget about my name.. Seemed like you still haven't, huh?" He said while creepily smiling at her.

He suddenly held tight of her hands. Violet is visibly hurt with the man holding her wrist tightly.

Violet: "L-let go of me, you bastard!" She shouted and slapped him hard in the face.

The man was surprised with Violet's action, and he obviously didn't expected it from her.

Jennie, Byul and Jisoo witnessed everything.. The three of them were also scared. But Jennie managed to contact the boys and told them of the situation.

The man caressed his swollen cheeks, but still holding Violet's wrist. He didn't let go, but instead he tightened the grip.

Violet is hissing from the pain.

Violet: "Let me go, Duke. It hurts!" She pleaded.

Duke: "What made you think that I'm going to let go of you again? You think you can escape from me again? Well I'm sorry, my love. But I'm going to take you back to Australia.. and whether you like it or not, we will continue our love story.."

Violet: "Are you crazy?! We're done, Duke. We're all long done! And what made you think that I will come back with you to Australia? Let me go! Or else---"

Duke: "...or else, what? What Violet? You dare to fight back at me now? Did you already forget what happened to you the last time you fought back? You can't do that, baby. You're so weak to do that.."

Violet: "Shut up! I'm not weak, you bastard! Let go of me!" She yelled.

Duke: "Don't be stubborn anymore, Vi. C'mon. I'm taking you now." He exclaimed.

He ended the conversation and dragged Violet away from her friends and towards his car. The man is not listening to Violet and the girls.

Violet kept on holding back and shouting at the man to let go of her. She scratched the man's arms, and so the man let go of her. He hissed from the pain.

Violet is about to run away, but the man caught him again. Out of madness, he held tight of Violet's hair, and held tight of her face, making Violet to look at him straight in the eyes.

Violet is experiencing again the abuse from his ex boyfriend. And what makes it more painful for her, is that her friends witnessed everything.

Byul, Jennie and Jisoo is trying to help Violet. But they couldn't get any closer, because they are afraid that the man would hurt Violet even more.

Duke: "You didn't really learn, huh? You really wanted to get hurt?"

Byul: "Hey, you psycho! Let go of her!" She shouted at the man.

But the man didn't paid attention to them.

Duke: "Come with me, or I will also hurt your friends, Violet." He threatened her.

Violet is becoming weak, and is crying from pain. Her heart is breaking even more when she heard the threat from the man.

Violet: "D-don't you dare hurt them, you PSYCHO!" She shouted from his face.

The man didn't like what Violet said to him.. He is raging with madness. He is about to slap Violet, when he was suddenly being blocked and was punched hard at the face.

In result, he let go of Violet, and he was thrown at the floor after that hard punched.

Violet almost collapsed, but luckily she was immediately been caught by Jimin.

Jimin: "Violet, are you okay? Do you hear me?"

Violet is very weak, and her body is trembling. She's being surrounded now by all of her friends. The boys just came in time.

Duke touched his wounded face and spitted blood. He looked at the man who punched him.
