The Past

Chapter 19

Violet woke up not so long after they reached the apartment.

Jungkook asked a lot of questions from her. But the girl insisted that she will answer all of those with all of them..

Jungkook assisted Violet in walking towards the others at the living room.

While they are heading at their direction, they heard what the others are talking about.. They have lots of questions that only Violet can answer.

Violet: "His name is Duke." She said.

All of them looked at Violet and Jungkook's direction. They were all looked shocked hearing the girl's voice.

Jungkook and Violet finally seated with the others.

Violet: "I will answer all of your questions. But before that, I would like to thank you all for saving me back there. Especially to you, Jungkook. Thank you for taking the courage and strength to punch him for me." She said while he looked at Jungkook with tears lingering on her eyes.

Jungkook held of her hand.. "It's okay. We are also glad that we came on time. Thanks for Jennie's quick response." he said.

All of them nodded as their agreement with Jungkook's statement.

Yoongi: "Before we go to the point, how are you feeling now? Are the bruises still painful?" he worriedly asked.

Violet awfully smiled as she was been reminded of her bruises.. "It's still painful, but I'll be fine." She answered.

Others saw the pain on Violet's eyes and by the cracking of her voice.

Jin: "Tell us, Vi.. Do you personally know this guy?"

Violet nodded as her answer.

Jin: "Who is he? And why is he harassing you?"

Violet took all of her courage and answered the questions.

Violet: "Like I said, he's name is Duke.. He was my ex-boyfriend when I was still in Australia. I broke up with him.. and that is why I also left my country.."

Taehyung: "If you don't mind me asking, what happened between the two of you? If you already broke up, why is he still after you?"

Jisoo: "It was not your first time to be physically hurt like this, Vi. Am I right?"

Violet let go of her tears after she heard of Jisoo's question. She's been reminded of her dark past.

Jungkook is still holding her hands, and so he caressed it even more, making her feel that she is safe with them, and that she can trust them.

Violet: "Yes. It was not my first time being harassed by him.. I could still remember what he did to me when I broke up with him.. It left a huge scar in my heart.. Because of him, I couldn't be able to do what I love to do. Because of him, I have to give up my career."

Taehyung: "Your career? What do you mean?"

Violet: "Yes, my career. I was a figure skater before I came here in Korea. At first, he was very supportive of me. He always came with me in every competition I had.. But because of my love for my career, I set him aside. I guess, it was partly my fault too why he did that to me. But I really thought he understood me, and that he supports me, like he always said. But I guess, it was not all true.. He suddenly changed. He stopped attending my competitions, and is started hurting me physically. No one knew what he did to me.. I kept my mouth shut because I was also blaming myself on his sudden changes.. But one night, after my competition, I went to his house. And there I saw him making out with another girl.. I was so mad back then, that I scared the girl away. I didn't knew that it will be the start of my miserable life, and the end of my career.."

Jungkook: "Why? What happened?"

Violet: "He was so mad with what I did. He started yelling at me, and throwing things around the house. He didn't even realized that I was being cut by the broken glasses that he thrown.. I fought back at him because I wanted him to realize that what he did was wrong.. But I was too weak to win the fight.. I told him that I am breaking up with him.. I was about to leave when he suddenly pushed me so hard that I lied down on the floor.. he kept on blaming my career why our relationship fell apart.. His eyes were raging with madness. He doesn't know what he is doing anymore. I was so scared back then. I couldn't even move my body.. And the next thing I knew, he took the chair beside him, and hit my legs using the chair... My parents discovered of my condition the next day after that incident. They were looking for me, and found me at his place. Duke left me after that incident.. My parents rushed me to the hospital and I underwent a surgery.. The wounds in my body eventually healed, but the wound that Duke left me here.. (she was pointing on her chest: heart).. I don't know when it will heal.."

The girls were crying with Violet's story. They didn't knew that she went through so much pain from his abusive ex-boyfriend.

The boys were also saddened to hear her story. Their hearts are breaking for her.

Namjoon: "I'm so sorry for what happened to you before, Vi. But I want you to know that none of it was your fault.. You just loved him in all honesty, and you just happened to loved your career too. For me, if he truly love you, he will support you no matter what.."

Yoongi: "..and he will never ever lay even a finger on you.." He added.

Jisoo: "Namjoon and Yoongi is right, Vi. None of it was your fault.. I know it will be hard on you again to move on.. but always remember that you have us now.. allow us to help you. Allow us to keep you away from him.." She said.

Jennie: "Eonni is right, Vi. Allow us to be of help on your healing process."

Violet: "T-thank you all for your comfort and wanting to be there for me.. I really appreciate it. But I don't want you to get in trouble because of me.. Duke is a psycho. I don't know what he is thinking right now. But I'm sure he will keep his words. He will get back on me, and he will get back on you. And I don't want to drag you on this shit." She sadly said.

Jungkook: "Hey, look at me. Don't worry about us, okay? We will not let that bastard harm you again, and of course us. We will all find a solution to this. For now, why don't you take a rest. I know you are still in pain." He commented.

Jimin: "Jungkook is right, Vi.. Forget about him for now.. You should take a rest so you can gain back your strength." He seconded.

Violet nodded as her agreement..

Jennie assisted her to their room. Jin and Namjoon also assisted their girlfriends to their rooms so they can also take a rest.

The rest of the boys waited for Jin and Namjoon to return for them to have a serious conversation.

Yoongi: "We shouldn't let Violet be alone again, especially at night. We don't know what that bastard is thinking." He suggested.

Jungkook: "But how are we going to do that, hyung? Are we going to ask her to live with one of us?" He asked.

Jin: "With that said, I'm thinking.. Why not let us all live together?" He suggested.

Namjoon: "You mean, all of us in one house? We're going to leave mom and dad at the mansion?"

Yoongi: "If you're going to think of it, it's not a bad idea at all. What do you think, Hoseok-ah?" He asked Hoseok.

Hoseok: "Well, I think it would be fun."

Taehyung: "Wait, how about us? Me, Jimin, and Jungkook? Can we also live with you?"

Jin: "And why not? We can talk this out with your agency."

Jimin: "Hmm.. Jin hyung is right. I think that is the best solution for now. We should tell the girls about this tomorrow.. And Violet too. Do you think she'll agree with us?"

Namjoon: "She should. After all we are doing this to keep her safe and away from that man."

Everyone nodded as their agreement.

Not so long after their serious conversation, they all went to their rooms and called it a day.
