The Past

Chapter 4

It's not new to me to encounter a celebrity customer, since a lot of them were visiting the place, but this guy in front of me, he's quiet different. I don't know why I'm having this kind of feeling that I knew him.

I didn't realized that I already thought too much, until the guy grabbed my attention.

Jungkook: "Ahh? Hello? Did you hear me?"

Violet: "A-aah, I..I'm sorry, sir. What is your order again?" I asked for an apology then lowered my head as a gesture of apologizing.

Jungkook: "It's okay. I will just repeat my order. I would like to have 2 buckets of beer, and a bottle of wine too. We're at the table 13." He said.

Violet: "Is that all, sir?"

Jungkook: "Yeah. Thank you."

Violet: "Thank you, sir. We'll deliver your drinks right away."

When I looked up to see his face, it was already late because he already turned his back at me, and walked to his table's direction. I immediately handed his order to the waiter and have them deliver right away.

The night is getting deeper, and the place is quiet full now.

I was just finished serving a drink to a customer, when suddenly Ms. Areum approached me.

Ms. Areum: "Vi? Please come with me." She ordered.

I immediately stepped outside the bar counter and followed her at the locker room.

Violet: "What is it, Miss?"

Ms. Areum: "Can you please perform tonight? You see, one of our performer's couldn't get here for some important matter, and we need someone to fill in his place. Can you do it?" She asked.

Violet: "W-what? B-but.. I'm not prepared for it, Miss." I hesitantly said.

Ms. Areum: "Please Vi. I don't have any other choice. Please?" She pleaded.

I released a deep sigh and nodded as my answer.

She hugged and thanked me again, and told me to fix myself so I can go up the stage.

I waited for her to get out of the locker room before I fix myself. I removed my apron and put it back inside my locker. Luckily I have some extra clothes in my locker. I changed my attire to look more presentable tonight. After I fixed my clothes, I then fixed my hair. I changed my hairstyle to suit my attire.

After a few while, I stepped outside and headed to the stage where the band is waiting for me.

Before I successfully stepped in, I took a deep breathe to reduce my nervousness. When I felt quiet easy, I stepped in. I greeted the band by smiling at them, and took the mike and sat on the chair at the center stage.

I am not new with this. This was not the first time that I've been asked to perform, so the band behind me got already familiar with my key.

And so before I started to sing the first song for tonight, I greeted the customers in front of me. I couldn't get hold of a clearer view of their faces because of the spot light focused on me. I decided to speak in English and later on translated it into Korean since we also have foreign customers.

Violet: "Hi, good evening, everyone. Annyeonghaseyo. Thank you all for coming in tonight. My name is Violet, and I will be your performer for this set. I hope you will like my songs."

The band started to play the first song, after I delivered my last word. The customers clapped before I began singing.

So my first song for tonight is Stone Cold by Demi Lovato.

Jungkook's POV

We arrived at the bar that Hobi hyung told us. As we get inside the bar, I must say, the place is great.

When we arrived there were already a quiet number of people inside the bar. Our securities came in with us and stayed on a table right next to us. The bar is very known, especially to other celebrities like me, Tae hyung, and Jimin hyung. So it's not a surprise to the customers to see us here. The place is also decent, so as the ambiance.

Jisoo: "You're right, Hoseokie, the place is really great. I like it here." She commented.

Some of us nodded as an agreement to her.

Hosoek: "I told you, right? They also serve good drinks here." He added.

Jimin: "Jinjaru? Wow, can't wait to order then!" He excitedly exclaimed.

Jin: "Yah, Jimin-ah, we're not here to get drunk, okay? Let me remind you that we're here to unwind." He lectured him.

Yoongi: "Hey, loosen up, bro. Let him do what he wants. After all it's not all the time that the kid is gettin' drunk. " He rebuked Jin hyung.

Namjoon: "Yoongi is right, hyung. Let's allow ourselves to loosen up, even just for tonight. I know you wanted to loosen up too."

Jin: "Okay, okay. But not too much, okay?"

Jimin: "Yey! Thank you, Jin hyung. Thank you too, hyungs." He happily exclaimed.

Jungkook: "Okay, let me get us a drink." I volunteered to order, and stood up from my seat.

Taehyung: "Hey gguk, have a wine for me and noona, okay?"

Jungkook: "Okay, hyung."

I turned around and walked away heading at the bar counter.

I saw a female barista and approached her of my order.

I finished delivering my order but the girl seemed not to pick up what I said. She looked off. And so I tried getting back her attention.

When she's back on her senses she immediately asked for an apology, and even lowered down her head as a gesture of apologizing.

I told her that it's okay and repeated my order instead.

While she's writing down my order, I watched her face carefully. And a thought suddenly crossed my mind. She looked familiar. I think I saw her somewhere.

My thoughts were being interrupted when she asked me if I still have other orders. I said 'no more' before I turned around to get back to our table.

Not so long after, our order came. We shared the drinks that was served to us and did a toast before tugging in the drink.

We were enjoying the vibe and having conversations while waiting for the next set of performer.
