The Past

Chapter 2

*Jungkook's POV*

V hyung, Jimin hyung and I were on our way to Itaewon. We are passing by a neighborhood when I saw an old woman trying her hardest to push her heavy cart, I was about to get the driver's attention to pull over the car to help the old woman, when I saw a girl running to her direction and helped her instead. I just saw a glimpse of her face, but I can tell that she's a beauty.

"Beauty with a good heart." I unconsciously muttered.

Taehyung: "Huh? What did you say, kook?"

I looked at the two of them who were confused with what I said.

Jungkook: "A-aahh, N-nothing V hyung. I said, I can't wait to go at the bar later. Ha ha ha." I answered defensively.

Jimin: "But I heard you said, 'beauty'? He commented.

Jungkook: "D-did I say that? I..I didn't said that."

Taehyung: "I heard it too.. But anyways, maybe Jimin and I were wrong." He said while shrugging his shoulders upward.

Jimin hyung did the same. Then the two of them are busy again with their phones.

I secretly released a deep sigh..

Whoa! That was close.. But, the girl really got my attention. Those were my thoughts.

Few more minutes and we will arrive at Yoongi hyung and Hobi hyung's apartment.

We decided to barged-in since it's a weekend, and we need to breathe some fresh air before we go back to our own businesses. Next week will be a whole tiring week for Jimin hyung, Tae hyung and I for we will be going to the university to attend our classes. Of course, after classes will be our practices, and a week after we will be out again to attend TV guesting in America.

Our work is very exhausting, but I rather had this than do nothing and rely with my parents. Being and Idol or celebrity has lots of perks, but it also opened my eyes to the realities of the world.. I was born rich, but why do I have to work hard like this? It's because, I wanted to learn how to stand on my own, not always relying on my parent's wealth. Mom and dad were very kind and generous people, they always give and helped those people who are in need.. And that is also what I wanted to do. I want to give and help others with my own money.. from my blood, sweat and tears..

We didn't realized that we already arrived at Yoongi hyung and Hobi hyung's apartment.

Jimin: "Finally, we're here. Let's go!" He excitedly said.

The three of us got out of the car, and took our bags with us. Our securities stayed outside while we went inside the apartment.

Jimin hyung pressed the door bell, and not so long after, Hobi hyung opened the door and welcomed us.

Hoseok: "Hi guys, get inside." He excitedly welcomed us.

Jungkook: "Hi Hobi hyung. Where is Yoongi hyung?" I asked while looking around the house.

Hoseok: "Well, what do you expect from him? As usual, he's in his room. I don't know if he's sleeping or working." He answered while preparing something in the kitchen.

Jimin hyung, Tae hyung and I put our bags in the couch, before I decided to go to Yoongi hyung's room and knocked on his door.

"It's open!" Yoongi hyung shouted from inside.

I slowly opened the door and did a quick peek before I totally went inside.

Jungkook: "Hi hyung. Are you busy?" I asked him as I sat on his bed.

Yoongi: "Not really, I'm just fixing some parts of this song." He answered.

Jungkookg: "Is that a new song?" I asked.

Yoongi hyung didn't answered back but continued clicking something on his instruments, and when he's done, he turned his chair around facing my direction.

Yoongi: "That's a secret for now.. Well how's the drive going here?" He asked me.

Jungkook: "Well, aside from I saw a beauty when we're on our way here, I think the travel is fine." I said.

Yoongi: "Wait, a what?"

Jungkook: "H-huh? I didn't said anything." I defensively answered.

Here I go again, I shouldn't have said that. Now I'll be going to be lectured again..

Yoongi: "Yah! Don't make me a dumb. I'm sure you know that you said 'a beauty'."

Jungkook: "Alright! Alright hyung. Just calm down, okay? I just saw her on our way here. I mean we passed by a neighborhood and I saw an old woman hardly pushing a heavy cart, then I saw this beauty who run her way to help the old woman. That's it. I just appreciated her, okay?" I explained.

Yoongi: "Oh, okay. I thought that our baby bunny is already in love." He teasingly commented.

Jungkook: "Y-yah, hyung. You know that I can't be in a relationship right now, right?"

Yoongi: "Did I say that you're in a relationship now? I just said that I thought you're already in love.. And Jungkook-ah, what's wrong with being in a relationship? Hey kid, you're already a man, though we're still calling you 'baby' and 'kid'.. Don't be too absurd with yourself. Get a life outside your work. Find a girl that you'll fall in love with.." He suggested.

I was about to answer when Namjoon hyung suddenly interrupted our conversation. I bet he heard what Yoongi hyung had told me.

Namjoon: "Yoongi is right, gguk.. You're still young. Go and explore. Just be careful. You know, with your popularity, I'm sure lots of people will criticize you. But as long as you know yourself, you believe in yourself, go on with what will make you happy. Remember that you have us, your family, and those people who truly loves and supports you." He added.

Jungkook: "Wow, hyungs. Should I cry? I.. I mean, I know all of those, and I will always thank you all for always reminding me of that.. But I assure you that I'm not in love, okay? I just appreciated the girl's kindness. You know, there are very few now who are willing to help others without expecting something in return." I said.

The both of them nodded their heads as their agreement on what I said..

Namjoon: "Well then, case closed. Come on, others are waiting outside now."

And the three of us got out of Yoongi hyung's room.

Jin: "Yah! What took you so long in there?" He nagged.

Yoongi: "Nothing.. some short conversation." He said.

I looked at Yoongi hyung while he answered to Jin hyung. I saw him winked and smirked at me after.
