Rachel's P.O.V~
Olivia started, "My friend is coming over in a bit. She said her taxi picked her up about half an hour ago. It didn't take that long between the airport and here, right?" Joshua replied, "Yeah, just about. She's coming alone, right?"
"Yeah, her and Terry ended last month." The both of them grimaced at each other after that statement. The pizzas were just coming out the oven.Meanwhile, Cory and I were both seated somewhat paying attention to what they were saying. He sat directly across from me at a tiny circular table, a tub of ice-cream seated in the center.
My legs continued to vibrate beneath it, out of view from the others. Cory and I engaged in a conversation without words. My cheeks burned as my eyes again dared to meet his gaze. Cory sat comfortably, laid back in his chair as he indulged in a bowl of chocolate ice-cream. The intimidating meet occurred more than I wished to admit, we made eye contact but my eyes couldn't help but drift towards his tongue. He continued with this sort of audacity in his actions..
He slowly licked every hint of ice-cream off of his spoon with his eyes locked on mine, a daring spirit flickering behind them.
Once he was finished, he grinned in a sickening manner back at me before eventually glancing at the other two in the room. It was hard for me to comprehend that anyone else was in the vicinity when he did this.Cory's reoccurring smirk only confirmed the fact that he loved to see the effect that he had on me whenever we'd finished.
My leg continued to tremble against my own will as Cory remained entertained by the spectacle.
"Hmm?" he turned towards the others. Apparently they'd asked us something. I snapped out of it, "Wh- what was that?"
Olivia answered, "We were discussing my bachelorette partyy! Yaaay-uh."
The both of us nodded. She continued, "Of course, Rachel's gotta come. The other girls are flying in for the next couple days just for the party and then the wedding. We're thinking that the boys will stay here and we will go out to nice club, and throw everything down-"
Joshua interjected, "Yeahh, nothing too over the top-" Olivia paid no mind to this, claiming that the supposed friend that was soon to arrive was in charge of the party planning.
"That sounds good, I'm always down for a good time if any," I responded. Joshua added, "And well, you guys are already are aware that within the next two hours or so, will be the rehearsal." Cory responded, "Yeah for sure-"
Their parents were staying at some hotel downtown for the time-being and I was mostly just coming along to the rehearsal because Cory was Joshua's best man for the wedding. Cory continued, "Right, now that all of that's sorted out; let's get at these pizzas-"
Joshua responded, "Yeah lemme just go ahead and get these plates out." Cory laughed, "Oh, you tryna make sure you the first one in there." The both of them started to snicker.
"You ain't slick big fella," he commented as he rose from the table.Seconds later the doorbell echoed throughout the building. Olivia responded, "Lemme go get that. That's probably her-" She exited the room as the three of us went ahead and started to divide the hot, freshly prepared pizzas; Cory opting to bring my share for me as I remained 'incapacitated'.
He approached me and handed me my plate. "Thank you, baby." He pressed a kiss on my cheek, still wearing his goofy grin before taking a seat once again.
"HEEYYYY! THEE HOTTEST BITCH IS IN THE HOUWSE!! LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED," shouted a new voice from across the room. This woman walked in dressed in a gold, shiny, mini dress that stopped more than halfway up her thighs. She wore these long inches of hair that flowed behind her with every step, stopping right by her hips; accompanied by the long shiny lashes that she wore as she made her presence well known. Olivia introduced her, "And this firecracker is Adrianna-"
