Spencer's POV

* Christmas Eve *

"Hanna how many more decorations do we need?" Caleb shouts clearly frustrated.

"A lot. It needs to look like we have dipped the house in glitter and candy canes." Hanna replies blankly.

"I swear to god." Caleb mumbles under his breath.

Hanna is trying her best to make this Christmas one to remember. She claims since this is the first Christmas we are spending as a group, with Yvonne as well, it must be memorable. In her eyes that means buying hundreds of boxes of ornaments.

The house is completely covered in Christmas lights, mini trees, candy canes, gingerbread houses and pretty much anything you view as Christmassy. Although it is way too much I must admit it does look amazing.

It feels as if I'm in some fairytale story.

"Are they still arguing?" I hear Toby ask behind me as he wraps his arms around my waist.

The heat from his body easily replaced the cold from mine.

His scent of mint fills my nostrils and I could die right here.

"Yep. I swear they act like an old married couple." I conclude with a laugh.

"They really do. So, our first Christmas as a couple. You excited?"

"Of course. I wouldn't want it any other way." I state contentedly.

"I've never been much of a Christmas person." Toby admits. "But I couldn't be happier spending this one with you."

This boy.

"Spencer!" Aria comes running into the room.

She's wearing a red and green apron with stripes covering it. In her hand is a piece of paper.

"Can you please go and get these things from the nearest supermarket?" Aria asks handing me the sheet of paper.

"Of course." I reply studying the list.

It is filled with ingredients we need to make dinner tomorrow.

"Come on. I'll drive you." Toby insists.

Once we make it to the closest store, we begin shopping for the items on the list.

"This place is so busy." Toby says quickly manoeuvring the shopping cart to the side as a women practically runs through the aisle.

"That's what it's usually like before Christmas. Everyone wants to get everything last minute." I speak, scoring potatoes off the list.

"There's going to be nothing left."

"I know but let's just get what we can. I'm sure it'll be great either way." I announce.

My phone begins loudly ringing, which makes me receive several glances at the other customers nearby.

Can a girls phone not ring?

I check the caller ID.

Adam.

What does he seriously want.

"Why is he calling you?" Toby comments seemingly annoyed.

"I have no idea." I reply truthfully.

Toby takes the phone from me and answers it.

"Hey Spencer, I just wanted to check in and see if you were okay. I haven't heard from you since you found out about Toby. Do you want to meet sometime today and talk?" Adam speaks on the other end.
