Splatoon: Inkopolis Chaos 3

Part 11: Preparations

Natalie: DEAD? NO... PLEASE NO... *begins crying*

Katelin: W-Why? *crying too*

Jade: *a tear comes from her eye* She jumped in after me, attached an inkjet to me and then let go...

Samuel: I can't believe it... She's gone... I was hoping after this, she would live a normal life like us... But she died protecting another... *stands up, looks over the ravine, and salutes* We will never forget you, Ruby. *tears come from his eyes*

In tears, they return to the temporary base, and tell everyone what happened.

Melissa: She's dead? *horrified gasp and begins to cry* B-But...

Natalie: *sad nod*

Melody: R-Ruby... *tears well up in her eyes*

Dylan: Oh no... I'm sorry, she was a great person. *looks down*

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Givin' her own life to save yours three, that's very admirable!

Luke: I can't believe she's gone... *looks away*

Summer: Why did she have to leave us so soon?

Sylvia: I can't... That's it. I can't let more people die.

Marie: Your correct, Sylvia. The longer we stand around, the more people die. We need to stop them.

Callie: Yeah! We got a world to save!

Luke: I can't believe I'm saving the world alongside the squid sisters and my friends...

Samuel: But just us, against an army?

Cap'n Cuttlefish: I feel like I can trust Callie and Marie to sing the inkantation when the times right, that way, octolings will be freed from her brainwashing!

Luke: Alright, but we still have the drugged salmonids...

Suddenly, dozens of inklings and octolings come to them.

Inkling: Hey, I remember some of you!

Octoling: Yea! Your the ones who liberated us from the camps! 

Octoling 2: We'll help you fight against them.

Inkling 2: FOR INKOPOLIS!

Jade: So we have a decent amount to go in.

Time skip until night...

Jade: *sits on a log and groans, having a very guilty look on her face* 

Katelin: *sits next to her* Hey what's wrong?

Jade: I dunno, just... feel bad. I didn't know that she'd die for me like that. After everything... She shouldn't have either, she had a life ahead of her, she could've settled down, but she just... died... She died so a killer like me could live... *tears well in her eyes*

Katelin: Hey, if it's any consolation... Most of the octolings you splatted aren't actually dead. They have respawn points near where the mini zapfish were, and so anyone who was splatted there ended up ok! 

Jade: But what about the ones that weren't near a station... Those are clearly gone for good. I mean, I remember that I tried to kill you before.

Katelin: You were controlled by Tartar, that's not your fault!

Jade: No, I mean, before you ended up in the metro. You heard the Inkantation, and you wanted to come to the surface for normal life. You asked to be taken to the surface, but I mistook you as a threat, so I attacked you. You did your best to fight back but then we both got knocked away by sanitised octolings.

Katelin: I don't even remember that... But even then, it's in the past now. What matters now is we're fine now! Don't be so hard on yourself, you've done so much for everyone. Especially us...

Jade: But what if-

Katelin: What ifs don't matter! I love you, Jade. And I'll always be by your side! Do you think Ruby sacrificed herself for you to feel sad?

Jade: No...

Katelin: Exactly!

Jade: Your right, I'm sorry, I just feel shocked and saddened about all this, that's all. But I know what we must do now. We have to do this. Tomorrow, it's war... I'll protect you all. It's what Ruby wanted, right?

Katelin: *nods* I believe in you and everyone else! *hugs jade tightly and kisses her*

Jade: *hugs her back, and returns the kiss*

 The Next Day...

Samuel: Hello everyone! I hope you have all had a pleasant morning. Now, I need to talk to you all about some ground rules. One, make sure you have ink resistant clothes, so you won't be splatted immediately. Two, if possible, aim for the shades. The shades are mind controlling octolings, and when their off, tell them the truth. If they still try to attack you, then they are truly loyal to obsidian, so they must be stopped. Three, please make sure your fully prepared.

Natalie: Fight for your freedom, and the world! Those 3 villains have gone around and done too much harm! Now do you want to take part in saving everyone? I surely hope so!

Jade: Agents, with me.

The agents go to a private area.

Jade: So me and the captain were talking, and we have a plan for some of you guys. Callie and Marie, your job is to blast the inkantation when I give the signal.

Callie + Marie: Gotcha!

Jade: Dylan, your staying in this base and hacking any computer defences they have.

Dylan: Ok.

Jade: Melody, your a charger main, right? I want you to go up high, and snipe out every single octosniper, octocommander or any of the sort.

Melody: Alright...

Jade: Melissa, I'm assigning you to go after Blakeson.

Melissa: Gladly...

Jade: Sylvia, if you don't want to fight, you can go home if you want. I sent my sister home because she sprained her leg and can't walk well right now.

Sylvia: I'll... Fight alongside Melissa. I want to give Blakeson some payback.

Jade: If your sure, ok. Luke, Summer, you two do whatever you like. Assist the others, bring people to safety, your choice.

Summer: I got a few tricks up my sleeve.

Luke: I used to work at Grizz Co, I'm pretty experienced with salmonids, so I'll take em!

Jade: Katelin, sabotage their bombs. Recently, Dylan hacked into them and saw their database. Destroy their circuits, wiring, make them unable to be used.

Katelin: Okie!

Jade: Samuel, Natalie... I want you two to go after Scarlet and then Obsidian. I'll help anyone who has trouble with either.

Samuel: Right on.

Natalie: Cant wait to kick their butts...

Jade: Your all happy? Good. Now, let's go back out.

They walk out.

Katelin: Wait, who's staying to watch over Octavio?

Summer: The captain. He'll sure keep him occupied with stories of the old days.

Natalie: Inklings and Octolings! Obsidian has killed thousands of us, taken away our freedom and now, she has declared war on life itself! Will we allow it?

Everyone: NO!!!

Sylvia: Everyone aboard the "I hate communism train"!

And so, everyone heads right towards Cephalon HQ.
