INSIDE YOUR BED

Nothing worked out the way I planned. Who would have thought my incursion in 1984 would end up with four wrinkled condoms at Freddie's bedside?

I rolled over my back, sighing like a satisfied kitten and bumped into Phoebe's tall and sturdy body, outlined against the curtains. I cowered, covering myself till my ears with the shame filling up my face.

- Guten Morgen -he said joyfully-. Well, rather Guten Tag.

- Guten Tag -I answered tucking a strand of hair behind my ears, awkwardly-. Freddie?

I wanted him by my side now. I hadn't had enough with my demanding safe sex session. There was no time to even a glance full of the purest love. I just felt how I unbound him and rolled over to the edge of the bed. At last that passionate spiral was over and fell into a deep sleep.

- He's gone to the studio. Now that you are awake, I have to go with him too.

- Barbara? -I asked fearful, thinking I could stay with her alone.

- Don't you worry, she went and doing some shopping. Generally it will take her all the afternoon. You stay here as this flat's owner. And Tarzan too.

- But...

- I have strict orders from Freddie. I must lock you up here.

- Why?

- He says when he comes back you will probably be gone. So I have to warn you that I will shut you up.

I looked at him sadly. I wanted to tell him: "Well, I have to warn you that even so I'm running away and Freddie will blame on you".

- Don't look at me like that, Ashlee. Sometimes Freddie's commands are arbitrary...

- I've got nothing against Freddie's commands. Cool down.

- Perfect. See you later? Do you need something before I'm leaving?

- Yes.

- I'm hearing you.

- Just give me a hug.

I wrapped in the sheets kneeling over bed opening up my arms and waiting such an important man in Freddie's life would come over. He stared at my face baffled but he didn't hesitate to come over and delicately embrace me against his huge body.

Before any other sense, it was my sense of smell the first thing that sharpened on coming back 1978. Before my ever present hunger and sleep feelings. It smelled like hospital. That's right, I've landed in a hospital. I was in the medication's store, by the nurse's station. What did I do in a hospital? Would it be possible that I gave this application my own unbalance and I couldn't even get right when I texted some date? I recalled I texted quietly, with no pressure 3rd february 1978. One day after my failed birthday party. Well, at least I hoped my enemy and partner in birthday had enjoyed for the both of us.

I sneaked out that store and walked along the corridor in search of the EXIT letters when I saw Brian and Chrissie. Well, the application might not be so groggy as I thought.

- Elideth, what a surprise. Have you met Michael?

- Pardon? -I asked with a glance at the couple, confused.

- Yes, John's new baby.

Oh, ok. Veronica had given birth to her second child and yeah, it was the day after my birthday, 3rd february 1978.
