A month had passed since my runaway to 1984 and Freddie's monumental anger. Since then he was very busy putting his neck on the line in his relationship with Joe and I was very busy trying this relationship wouldn't fail.

None of us had met since then. I had come to have such a deep knowledge of Freddie that sometimes I was scary. How easy it had become to learn his personality. I knew he was mad at me and needed to pay me back with his ostracism. But he had in essence a good-nature heart that only required my pacience. I didn't know how I was going to get my HIV tests with them but I would do it, if it was the last thing I did in my life.

The anger owed to my denial to attend that party he had thrown for me, it added the photo of Joe and me sharing my peaches and yoghourt smoothie and his avocado, strawberries and cheese smoothie. "Elideth Polley's new boyfriend", I could read the subtle Daily Mail's headline, very accurate as usual.

I didn't even notice we had cameras hiding there that evening. We had met as many times before. Joe was a wonderful companion and made easy my job in the attempt to keep afloat his relationship with Freddie. Both Joe and me didn't take seriously that tabloid nonsense, Freddie's sense of humour was less sharped on this occasion.

- Are you always trying to challenge me?

I looked up from my glass. I had the firm intention of drink only one glass all through the night despite the next day I could stay in bed and could have some fun tonight.

Freddie looked specially gorgeus that night or at least it seemed to me. He wore one of his tight tshirts and some black leather pants also tighted along his narrow hips. I was willing to challenge him, sure. A battle of kisses. See who wins.

- Don't look at me like I've just said some crazy thing -he attacked in rage seeing I didn't reply to his question, I just stood there watching him

- Don't look at me like I've just said some crazy thing -he attacked in rage seeing I didn't reply to his question, I just stood there watching him.

- I don't look at you any way -I shrugged as though he had just punched my face-. I'm just trying to figure out what you are talking about.

- I'm talking about I don't know what Joe is. My boyfriend, your boyfriend...

- Please, Freddie. Don't tell me the Daily Mail has fallen into your hands.

- All the tabloids where you are fall into my hands. And now it happens my boyfriend is the press target thanks to you.

- Don't be fussy. Doesn't it suit you fine if Elideth Polley is your boyfriend's girlfriend? Think about it. Nobody thinks Joe Fanelli is going out with you, they think he's with me. Once more I'm saving your beautiful ass, Freddie Mercury.

- Don't you mind they award you a new boyfriend?

- It's not my number one priority right now starting to deny it. Let them say what they like. Anyway they always do.

- Which is your number one priority?

Finding out if you are HIV positive one and for all, Freddie.

- Hi, my beautiful new girlfriend -Joe joked storming into in our conversation promptly-. You came up at the end. Shall we dance?
