Chapter 14- Deep and Husky, Bagels and Coffee

Seoul, 11:12 pm

Jisoo POV

I just finished my nightly routine as I ready myself to bed. Today was a great day, i told myself as I even out the beauty mask on my face. I can't help but smile as I recall my surprise facetime with the woman I've been in love with for more than 3 years now.

I thank the heavens for letting my bravery shine as I practically asked Chaeng to come to Seoul so we could talk. I know it was a spur of the moment idea which I obviously felt horrible about. That's why I immediately said that I could book a flight to New York right at that moment so I would be the one to come to her.

Yes, Jisoo Kim. The 'Alpha'/ 'Man' should be the romantic one to sweep the lady off her feet by flying to wherever she is, not the other way around, you idiot!

"Oh Chaeng, I can't wait to see you, my love. I hope we can fix us." I said as I smiled.

I suddenly remembered that I still don't have her number. Shit! I should call Pri. That Monkey forgot to send it to me when she said she will. Aissshhh!

She must be awake by now for sure. But after a couple of rings, Nada. I tried calling again, still, no answer.

I furrowed my brows as I double checked the time. 11:12 pm. So, its 10 am there. She's usually up by now either busy with her day or having her choice of workout. Maybe she's busy doing something at the moment. But because I am in dire need of Chaeng's number, I tried one last time.

If this monkey won't answer, I'll call the mandu next.

I sighed as I wait for the monkey to pick up, "Jeez, I even forgot to ask Jennie for the number when we talked earlier? Aiissshhh, that Mandu was so giddy I forgo-..."

"Mmm...He-hello?"

New York, 10:12 am

Lisa POV

Bzzzzz. Bzzzz. Bzzzz. Bzzzz.

The buzzing of my phone made me inhale deeply as I tried opening my heavy eyes. I manage to open my left eye as I peak at my phone. Chu?

I lazily swiped to answer her call.

"Mmm..He-hello?"

"Jisoos Kites! Are you in a middle of doing something inappropriate or you just literally woke up?"

"Wha-what? What time is it?", I asked as I tried to my hardest to respond.

"If my calculation is correct, it's 10 am there in New York, unless you're in a different part of the world or in a different planet? Are you having a sexy time or something? Jeez, you sound like you are seducing someone, Urgh! That just gave me goose bumps."

"What the hell are you talking about, Chu? You are disturbing my sleep, you dumbass", I answered.

"Really? Oh shoot! Sorry, sorry my bad. Imma call you back later then." She laughed as she end the call.

I couldn't care less as I drifted back to my sweet slumber.

Jennie POV

I just had my bath when I heard my phone ringing. I hurriedly wrapped myself with my bathrobe as I tighten the towel twirled around my wet hair. I reached for my phone, and I saw the caller.

"Hey Chu, good morning!" I answered.

"Oh, good morning to you too, miss giddy sunshine." I instantly smile with her greeting.
