Clay sat in shock, Ash had just kissed him. She'd left him alone in her room and all she could think about was being in the next room. He runs a hand through his hair, a smile spreading across his flushed face, Ash was giving him a chance. He pulls himself together before leaving her bedroom to follow her into the kitchen. He finds her standing back facing him in the kitchen swaying while feeding Evelyn. He walks up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. As he puts his face in the crook of her neck he starts to sway with her.
"I could get used to this," Clay mutters lowly into her neck. Ash makes a sound of agreement as she feels Clay smile into the exposed skin of her neck.
"Want to hang out here for a bit?"
"Yes, want me to grab her swing?"
"That would be great," Ash smiles. Clay lifts his head placing a kiss on her neck before heading down the hall. Ash blushes, tilting her head down. Her hair falls down, covering her flushed face and her large grin. When Clay reenters the room, he places the swing in front of the couch before looking back over at Ash and Evelyn.
He approaches them again but this time he's standing in front of them. He lifts Ash's chin with a smirk while saying, "there's no need to hide your face from."
"You just give me these butterflies whenever you do things like that," Ash says, stepping away from him, he watches as she walks over to the swing before gently placing and buckling Evie in.
"What type of things?" Clay asks, following closely behind her. When she stands up straight, he's right beside her.
"Coaxing me to look into your eyes, your smirk, that you know is hot as fuck, and the kissies as well," Ash admits, hiding her face in her hands.
"What'd I say about hiding your face?" He asks, lifting her chin to meet his eyes. He leans forward and her eyes flick to his lips but he just smirks as he places a kiss on her forehead. She flushes before smacking his arm.
"You're doing that on purpose now," She pouts.
"Who says I wasn't doing it on purpose before?" He smirks, quirking an eyebrow.
"That's mean," Ash whines, stepping closer to him before hiding her face in his shoulder.
"You're acting like you don't do the same to me," Clay mutters right by her ear.
"And how have I done anything like that?" Ash asks, unburying her face from his shoulder to look at him.
"Do know how many times we've been this close to kissing," Clay asks, almost brushing his lips against hers. "Before we were interrupted."
"Not this time though," Ash says before closing the space between them. People always told Ash about fireworks when they kissed the significant other, she never experienced said fireworks or even believed the people who told her, but when she kissed Clay for the first time, she believed in fireworks. When they pulled back, Ash couldn't the blush or the smile that was painted across her face.
"Wow," Clay mutters.
"I... I'm really glad we are giving this a chance," Ash smiles.
"I feel like that's a compliment," Clay smirks, kissing the top of her head.
"Oh shush," Ash says, hiding her face in his shoulder once again. They stand embracing each other until Kasztan meows, demanding attention, by their feet.
"This is what I mean," Clay sighs as he leans down and pets the cat.
"Hey, don't complain, you got your kiss this time," Ash says, leaning down before picking up her cat.
