The four stared at a huge machine that was seemingly scorched. The machine was shaped like a sphere with four metal conducting pipes.

"And there it is lady and gentlemen my life's greatest failure." Dr Ratchet said. Edward looked at Dr Ratchet with sympathy and he inquired, "Can it be fixed?"

"Yes, but it would require teamwork." Dr Ratchet replied.

 Edward looked at Alberto and Sarah and asked, "Are you guys up for this?"

"I'll go wherever you lead," Alberto said. Sarah looked at Edward and said, "As much as I don't agree with this I'll help wherever I can."

"Great!" Dr Ratchet exclaimed excitedly and Edward said, "Let's get to work then."

A few hours passed

Dr Ratchet and the others were fixing the machine and Alberto said, "Shit!" The others stopped whatever they were doing and Edward inquired, "What's the shit for?"

"I just realized we don't have a freakin' power source," Alberto replied.

 Dr Ratchet rubbed his face in annoyance and utter frustration and he said, "I forgot that we don't have a power source."

Sarah and Edward looked at the two, and then the alarms rang. Alberto looked at his tablet and said, "Our satellites picked up a sonic boom going for R.T.R Labs Research Park."

 Edward muttered, "It's Hunter."

 Edward sped off. "Justin! No!" Dr. Ratchet exclaimed

Edward was halfway through the city but his speed had a few glitches along the way to his destination.

R.T.R Labs Research Park at Hollywood Hills CA

Vault

Four security guards with riffles on their hands saw a flash of blue electricity stop a few feet away from them. Joseph was in a black coat, he wasn't wearing his suit and he said, "I need those reflector panels."

 The guards fired bullets, but the bullets' momentum slowed down and Hunter caught all the bullets and snapped the necks of the guards in a single motion. Hunter phased through the vault's door and he came out holding two briefcases.

Edward passed through with the briefcases, Joseph smirked and said, "Mr Justin. I am delighted to see that you can still run, barely."

 Edward nodded and said, "You're not getting away with these." Edward tapped into his speed, but his speed glitched and it sent him flying.

 "That was easy. I suggest you give up Edward you're too weak to be much of a challenge." Hunter said and he sped away with the briefcases.

Thirty minutes later

Back at Phoenix

Sarah was checking on Edward and she said, "You're gonna be all healed up after a few minutes." Edward got up and said, "Thanks again."

"No problem, but with your speed it's at 10%." Sarah said. Edward stood up from the gurney and he said, "I can feel that I am barely hanging on."

"What do you mean?" Sarah asked.

 Edward looked at the suit on display and he said, "I mean I can't catch my breath and every time I run out there it's like my body's being ripped into two. I don't know how we're going to bring back my speed it's just...all... I can think about is how I am going to save someone tomorrow before I am completely depleted."

Sarah went to Edward, she stroked his back and said, "I know that you feel helpless but I've seen that you can dig deeper in times of a crisis and run faster than ever..."
