George, a british 17 year old guy, decides to become an exchange student. What was supposed to be a fun trip turned out to be a life changing experience when the guy he stays at, Clay enters his life.

As soon as I stepped out of the car I felt arms wrap around my neck, and I didn't register it before I felt a pair of lips smack against mine. It wasn't pleasurable, and all I could think about was George who had just witnessed it.
I pulled away and looked around to see the front door of Melissa's house close. Assuming that was George I wanted to follow but was stopped by a hand on my shoulder, making me face Melissa.
"Hi babe, glad you came! Sapnap, Laura and Bad are already here waiting in the backyard for us. I decided not invite anyone else tho, because it has been such a long time since we've just been us, don't you think"
I didn't know how to feel about it only being the 6 of us, I'd really looked forward to talking one on one with George but now I was forced to stay by Melissa's side the entire night. It was fine though, considering Sapnap and Bad were here as well so it couldn't possibly be that bad.
She kissed my right cheek and afterwards dragged me into her kitchen to get some alcohol. She handed me most of the drinks that were placed in a box, then proceeded to take a singular beer in her hand. I sighed, followed her into the backyard and placed the box on the ground.
Looking around I saw George talking to Bad and was happily surprised to see them clicking. Suddenly Sapnap walked towards me with a wide smile.
"Dude, you won't believe who I just convince to come join us today"
Already after him saying only one sentence I'd guessed who it was. He has had a crush on this guy for the longest, and I was generally so happy something might actually happen.
"Who's it?"
"Really? You're not even gonna try guessing? It's Karl obviously"
Of course I knew but if it wasn't it might've been awkward.
I gave him a proud clap on the back indicating how happy I was for him. Moments later we heard a car park in front of the house. Sapnaps eyes widened and both of us knew who it had to be.
Melissa gave me a confused look so I went over to her and said that Sapnap had invited Karl, which she surprisingly was okay with.
The backdoor to the garden opened as we saw Karl and Sapnap walk in, I couldn't help but smile at the sight. Karl has been Sapnaps crush for the longest so finally seeing them bond was great.
George waved energetically which took me by surprise, but it was still nice seeing him already making friends. When Karl caught sight of George waving he ran up to hug him, I would lie if I didn't say it was kinda cute.
Sapnap came over to me after being left alone at the entrance.
"Did you know they knew each other" I shook my head and was about to say something else when I got interrupted by Melissa.
"Guys, I thought it would be fun if we did a drinking game, something like never had I ever, but if you've done the thing you take a sip" no one complained, so we all sat down in a circle on the grass.
The sun had gone down, so the only source of light we had was the one from inside of Melissa's house. I was a bit nervous not knowing what kinds of questions that would be asked, mostly because they know too much about me for me to even consider lying.
We all went quiet when Melissa spoke up. "We can all just start out with simple questions and then gradually make them more and more exciting" Her saying that kinda worried me but I tried to shake it off for now.
"Never have I ever.... had my first kiss"
She took a sip herself, as well as everyone else, except for George. He hesitated at first, looking around and then deciding to also drink. I couldn't help but notice it which made me question if he was actually being genuine.
"I can ask the next question if you'll like" Laura looked at Melissa for approval which she got.
"Never have I ever done drugs"
This time I hadn't done it but looked curiously around to see who had. Nobody drank for a while until Melissa took a sip, almost spitting out her drink from holding in a laughter.
"It was only once, ok!" I honestly didn't care, she was always suspicious, and I wouldn't be surprised if this happened during one of the times she cheated on me.
All of a sudden Karl spoke up for the first time since we sat down in the circle.
"I have a good one" he began "Never have I ever had a boyfriend, girlfriend or partner"
Everyone took a sip, including myself, but George and Laura apparently hadn't.
"Well obviously me and Dreamy has" Melissa said proudly "Maybe we could set up George and Laura, it would be fun to be able to go on double dates with y'all"
Laura gave George a flirtatious look to which you could see his failed attempt at reciplicating it. She totally fell for it though.
"Wait! I have a really funny one" Melissa laughed "Never have I ever.. cheated" She looked at me with squinted eyes, waiting for me to drink. She waved her arms in front of me and I finally snapped. Lifting myself from the ground and stormed out to my car. In the background I could hear Melissa yelling something about it being a joke but I couldn't care less.
I sat in my car contemplating on just driving away and leaving George, but I couldn't get myself to do it. Luckily I saw George running to the car moments later, sitting next to me. For a little while it was completely silent. We were both waiting for the other one to speak up when he finally did so.
"Ehh.. You don't need to tell me anything if you don't want to, I just wanted to ask if you're ok"
He looked at me with such genuine concern that I just felt compelled to pull him into a hug. No one, except for Sapnap, has ever cared about my feelings in situations like this before, so I instantly felt like telling him everything.
"George, if I tell you, you need to promise me never to tell anyone, ok? Like ever, not even Sapnap knows"
He nodded and in that moment I felt incredibly safe, like I could tell him anything and he would understand. It was almost scary how fast I'd grown to trust this person and how easily he had made me wanna open up. I didn't want to tell him while we were sitting in front of Melissa's house so without saying a word I drove away.
I parked the car in the driveway and told George to follow me into my room. Our backs were resting against the bed frame, when my phone started aggressively dinging.

Quickly I pulled out my phone and noticed the unread messages from Melissa.
I chose to ignore her and put my phone on silent mode. George sat patiently to my right side waiting for me to speak up.
"Soo.. It's a long, complicated story, are you sure you want to hear?"
"Of course" he muttered under his breath.
I waited a moment to gather my thoughts before saying "So a while ago Melissa had an affair with someone that's really close to me...."
