Those massive white walls stood as tall as skyscrapers, each one a couple of football fields in thickness. The inside of the walls were gleaming marble, like the holy palace of heaven among a scorched terrain that had felt the bloodshed of the human race. Outside those shinning walls were fields for farming with people to tend them. Patrols constantly walking among the roads to help protect what food was grown.
The shower of light from the marble was an unheard protector. No demon had stepped foot within the light that shown over three miles of land all around the city. Here the people could find peace.
One of the rumors about this city was that it had been a secret society spread out among numerous towns in the past. Once the Day of Terror struck, the walls had risen from the Earth to protect the city. It had been a display of God's power as the walls rose. The other famous rumor was that the city walls had been hidden by the Lord himself, in an invisible barrier for miles to protect his most faithful servants. When the release of Hell's minions and their strike against the planet, the barrier went down to reveal the angelic walls.
Our roads had become abruptly blocked by the massive marble guards. Numerous intersections and four lane streets looking like they end right into the walls. Now there were only six openings with black gates slightly open. At these massive gates were guards questioning those wanting access to the city's protection. Many were turned away.
In the very center of the massive city was a beacon of hope, the White Pillar. A spire that shot up to pierce the clouds and told the demons of the world that light would never begone in the darkness. Beneath this spire was were the Church praised the Lord Almighty and begged for forgiveness for the past sins of humanity. This holy city was the last sanctuary of humanity on the mortal plane of existence. The Sanctum of Haven was the lone light in the sea of darkness.
Small towns lay sporadic among the city's territory, a military force doing their job to protect those who had made a home outside and inside this massive city. There were constant threats to the people, but humans had finally banded together to fight as one. The question on anyone's mind that saw this beautiful city was how had it ever existed before the rise of darkness.
People living on the inside of the city's walls told all newcomers that it was the barrier that kept the city hidden before the Apocalypse. The walls rising around them when evil struck the people of the world. In the night when the moon was lit one could look up and see the gleam from the space rock reflect off the invisible barrier. This protection was preached by the church. The priests stating it was the angels that had wept for humanity and in God's response had allowed a select few mercy. Right before sunrise some would mutter that there were ruins etched into the massive marvel walls.
Everyone had wanted to question the sudden stop of the chaos that had torn at the mortal realm. No one could come up with an answer and the church had nothing. The High Priest raised his hands and told God's children not to question the father but to embrace the steady hand. Everything happens for a reason, even if the meaning could not be understood.
Between the outer wall and the walls surrounding the White Pillar were six large districts split by smaller thin marble walls, riding on the horizon of each of these districts was the seventh district. That district held the White Pillar at its core. Each district possessing its own market, politics, and military force. A couple of the districts didn't get along, but children do bicker amongst themselves. The markets all trading with one another, but they all had their unique styles. Some say it was the guards that would question and either accept you or turn you to another district. These six districts were based off of the six elements of nature: fire, water, earth, air, light, and shadow. A large barracks sat in the middle of each district and their own flags flying courageously about the buildings. The six sectors circling around that seventh district, much smaller than the rest but held the most honorable, the devoted, and well paid individuals throughout the city. The White Pillar sat inside the Inner Sanctum.
