Black gloves gripping the edge of the roof of a building. His biceps bulging as they lifted the entire body weight up so that one leg could be thrown up onto the top of the structure. Then a finger slipped, but he managed to recover and climb up so that the moon's light beat down upon him. No normal human being could have gotten past the Naturalists guarding the outside of the Inner Sanctum's gates, then again Scar was not a normal human.

The man had once again lowered his mana down to look like a rat when he had gotten close to the Inner Sanctum walls. He had managed to quickly weave between the two guards on either side of the gates without being detected. Once inside the Inner Sanctum's gates, Scar went to the closest alley and had climbed up to the roof. He was now exposed in the moon light, so he broke out into a run, jumping from building to building like a dark knight to the city. After landing on the sixth building he felt it was time to take to the streets, that and the jumping was giving him a burning sensation in his knees.

On a small building, away from the street the man went jumping off the ten-foot roof to land lightly on the balls of his feet and went into a forward roll to settle behind a warehouse. He felt like a master of stealth and a stud for being so skillful. Then as the adrenaline began to slow he gave wince has his body brought him back to reality. His knees were screaming at him for such abuse. In response his body went flat against the building and he slowly rubbed his knees as thank you. When he felt ready Scar began to circle around to face the main street. There was no way to determine what the Highlords were hiding at this point but Scar had a hunch that it was somewhere toward the center of the city.

At random Scar chose a street to move down. He kept to the dark shadows, a prowling vigilante in the night. His eyes watching for any more sentries, though the only guards were to be at the gates of the Inner Sanctum. The High Priest had stated that the people in the Inner Sanctum were those that were personally blessed by the Lord Himself. They didn't need guards for protection.

Scar came to a warehouse where two guards were standing idly by. Odd since they shouldn't be there. He was so surprised that he almost went out into the street and gave himself away.

He had only been inside the Inner Sanctum a couple of times, during the day while he was on duty. By the looks of the warehouse it should have been abandoned, so the two guards was a complete red flag for him. There were no other indications of individuals inside. Each of the guards were leaning against the wall. Scar silently backing away and circling the entire building to make sure that there were no other sentries. Whatever the Highlords were hiding, they must think that two guards were enough. Scar was then waiting.

For an hour the man was leaning in the shadows of another building, waiting for anything. He had analyzed the two men standing outside the warehouse. They did not have any identifying garments, nor did their mana seem like that of Naturalists. They were just two normal men guarding an abandon warehouse. Scar's eyes were moving constantly, watching for any kind of movement while waiting for the opportunity to slip inside without being seen. Finally, both guards began to move away from each other. One heading for the alleyway while the other went towards the road to look down the street. It must be their time to patrol or they had gotten bored from leaning.

Scar was slipping away from his hiding spot, quickly catching up with the guard heading for an alley. The man felt like a true assassin as his feet softly struck the ground with each step. No noise came from him as he caught up to the guard. There was no reaction from the victim to be. Scar's hand clasping over the guard's mouth while his other hand took out a dagger. The assassin pressing the point of the dagger into the guards back. The victim froze as he felt the weapon. Scar was thankful that this man was not one to spin and attack like some men would.
