The mana of the titans could be felt throughout the fire district, people falling to their knees from the power. Their bodies not use to such abnormal pressure and yet the two infiltrators were still sprinting as fast as they could, zig zagging between the buildings until their path opened up into a large plaza where soldiers of the district stood around an ancient marble stand. Dyrune came to a sudden stop with Ajax bumping into him for he was right on the assassin's heels.

Ajax gave a chuckle at that sight of the soldiers turning their directions. "Well ain't luck on our side," the man said.

Dyrune turning to his friend gave a smile. "Yes she is."

Soldiers of the Fire District came at them with a glorious yell, there were perhaps thirty of the soldiers to stand guard over the stone. Numbers didn't matter to the two infiltrators. The soldiers moving in formation toward the two men. Dyrune was already in motion, taking the lead as he began a dance between the armed soldiers with his scimitars countering, parrying, and blocking. Like a whirling dervish he struck at each opportunity, laughing at the feeble attempts those novice blades made in an attempt to strike him down.

Ajax was a bit different in his method. The man using his element to materialize his opponents shadows and forcing those shadowy doppelgangers to fight their counters. His huge axe cutting down these soldiers as fear broke their spirits and bodies. The guards had no idea what was going on. This was a massacre.

The man would never admit his lust for battle was the same as Xavier's but Dyrune was enjoying this battle. The thrill of being faster, stronger, and just plain better than all of these soldiers. There was also the inch of death that came at him that made the blood in his body pump faster. The man flipping over attacks, ducking and sliding through his opponents as he went rushing for that marble looking pillar. Black darts came flying in from the side but he didnt stop for Dyrune just went into a sommersualt with the darts barely missing him.

Dyrune spun on the balls of his feet to face his attacker. Those two deadly scimitars ready to find a gap in the armor of their next victim. From the shadow of the stone pillar came an elderly man. The dark element rolling off of the newcomer as the being rose from its depths. With steps from the darkness came a new combatant not from the Fire District, which meant that their plan was working. From the look of his black and purple ceremonial robes and the way the old man had melded from the shadows it was a true practitioner of darkness. Dyrune instantly recognizing his new opponent.

"Ho, ho. What is the Highlord of shadows doing here in the Fire District?" Dyrune smirking at the taunt. "It is quite interesting seeing you here, Zaine."

The old man's scarred features glaring at Dyrune as the old man stood pulling something from beneath his robes. "An assassin like you has some interesting friends." Zaine commenting as he began unfolding the contraption. With a final 'click Dyrune saw that the ancient Naturalist had assembled an ornate looking scythe.

"Ah so you know of me then," Dyrune gave a mocking bow before settling into a crouch. His opponent now looking more like the incarnation of death.

"I know what everyone does that lives in my city, especially those that live in my own damn district. Even the Dark Covenant!" Zaine went rushing in at Dyrune, his blade swinging in wide arcs at the swordsman.

Dyrune had a hard time predicting what was to come, the shadows becoming like serpents that were lashing toward him quicker than lightning, though he was quick to evade them all. Small arcs of darkness racing at him that had him smiling from their resemblance to Ben's Crescent Strike. "I have no affiliation with that group."

"A killer is a killer." Zaine stating with a gesture to the victims of Dyrune's blades. The swordsman continued to evade but knew that it was only time before he made a mistake. Dyrune began to move slower, barely evading the element of shadows attacks against him. Finally Zaine began to use melee attacks instead of his element that Dyrune was more capable of defending against. The scythe would circle in, forcing the assassin to block the blade and knock it out wide. The killer took the offensive.
