It was truly a marvel to see such supernatural things transpire. All elements dancing together to the tune of destruction and chaos. Fire immolating whole ranks of demons on one side while the Earth rose up to crush more. Water pouring and twisting through the demonic ranks while light and shadow worked in unison. The Sanctum of Haven's armies worked dynamically, but still only barely held their ground outside the city walls against the creatures of Hell.

Demons tore apart and devoured the soldiers everywhere on the battlefield, but not Sonya Mullynns. She was a true beauty among the battle, working her two daggers perfectly while blocking attacks, countering, and even advancing in certain situations. One blade knocking a demon's crude sword away while the other struck releasing fire or shadow energy, depending on the blade.

When surrounded, the woman twirled in a circle to combine her two elements in a shadowy vortex. The tornado damaging all enemies around her. She thought about releasing her Redemption technique more than once, but each time thought it better to hold it in reserve. Their were leaders of this hellion horde watching for just that tactic so their elites could overwhelm any position of leadership among the humans.

Sonya issued commands as she fought, directing her soldiers to move in excellent coordination. The fire district was strongly disciplined however they began to struggle when a large balor marched onto the field. The massive demon's blade chopping humans in half as it went with each swing of its giant sword. Human soldiers scattering in all directions from the demon.

"Cowards," Sonya mumbling as she sped at the monstrosity.

Sonya jumped into a roll that went beneath the balor's hard swing. As she hit the ground she pushed off the balls of her feet, launching past the beast. Her fire dagger cut deep into the monsters calf as she moved around the monster's backside. The shadow blade humstrung the other leg forcing the beast to its knees with a howl of fury. Sonya stabbed with both blades into the demon.

Her eyes went for the next opponent as the large beast fell to the ground face first. Sonya was caught off guard as a smaller demon kicked her hard in the chest, causing her to fall flat on her back. It was small for a demon, her own height and holding some sort of short spear. It lunged for her heart. Sonya rolled to the side at the last second, almost colliding with the fallen balor's body. In the back of her head she could only think, 'Damn that stinks.'

The smaller demon turning on her, ready to strike again, until a man suddenly appeared holding what looked like a bolt of lightning in each hand. Sonya couldn't tell who it was except that it was a man who held onto thunderbolts. He worked those bolts quick, blocking the smaller demon's feeble attacks, and then slicing the creature in half.

"Lord Sonya," the newcomer said with a mocking bow. As he straightened up, his eyes looked her up and down. The man was examining the details of the deadly woman. Sonya glared hatefully at the man causing him to laugh and wink at her before springing away. His lightning arcing through the battlefield striking multiple opponents as he danced across the battlefield dealing death as he went.

"Ignore him," Sonya heard from behind her. She spun to see a man standing atop the balor's body. He had two twin pistols in his hands, flashing streaks of red light that left smoking holes in every demon they struck.

"You're..."

"Azrael," the man finished for her with a nod. "Don't worry about Dyrune's flirting. He does that with everyone. Rally your men and push the enemy back!"

Sonya looked to her troops, beginning to think the man insane. She looked over the human ranks to see a man with an axe pointing and speaking to the Lord of the Shadow District. Sonya looked out over the battlefield, eyes widening in shock as fire erupted where water should have. There was a brutish man wielding a great chunk of metal like a sword, laughing as he cut down four demons with one swing, fire flaring out to those that got too close. Then the sky began to darken and all faces looking up at the dark storm clouds. Demon's howling as thunder rocked the sky, but Sonya heard only one voice, Azrael's. "Attack!"
