16- Attack

(What they wear and a map of the warehouse) ^^

Sorry it sucks😅

They split up when lights could be faintly seen through the trees and traveled different ways. Peyton went with Jackson as planned and together they jogged towards the back entrance. The building came into view and Peyton gasped in both awe and worry. The warehouse was absolutely massive and the lights were everywhere. Guards stood at both the ground and on top of lookout towers- watching and waiting for anyone to attack. 

The 2 took position and laid down into prone position with stun guns ready.

"In position," Jackson said into their ear coms. Leo was only a few seconds later.

"In position."

"Ok. On my mark, advance," Ryan said. ".......Now."

Jackson and Peyton started stunning all the guards in eyesight as fast as they could to avoid as much commotion as possible. The last guard fell down, unconscious, and they ran forward to the door. Jackson opened it quickly and Peyton held her gun up and moved forward with Jackson right behind her. Once inside, Jackson turned to Peyton once the hallway was clear.

"Split up and keep an eye out. Plant your charges as fast as you can, but make sure no one sees you." Peyton nodded and said good luck. Jackson said the same and they went down different ends of the long hallway. Peyton came upon stairs and climbed up. She came upon catwalks and another floor overlooking the main. 

She looked around with her stun gun ready at all times. She didn't see anyone up here and looked down below from the railing. There were armored trucks, humveys, huge crates, and missiles stacked to the side. Everything was organized. Peyton saw Ryan and Leo come in through the far doors and watched as they hid behind the vehicles, planting the charges. She grabbed hers, turned around, and walked to the concrete wall. There were metal pipes running along it and Peyton hid the charge up and behind the pipes. Arming it, she turned back around and saw a group of armed people come in through double doors to the side. Knowing that attacking now would cause too much ruckus, Peyton stayed and just watched from the shadows. They were saying something, but she couldn't make out what.

"Is everyone in the garage?"

"I am," Peyton said quietly to Leo. Jackson said he was as well. Ryan was right by Leo now so he didn't have to call in.

"We're going to take out this group before moving forward, got it," Ryan asked. They all said yes and got ready from their positions. Right as Ryan was giving the word, Cole yelled through the coms.

"They appeared out of no where! Get out! Get out, now! It an ambush!"

Suddenly, all the doors bursted open and Blackout soldiers flooded in with guns drawn on Ryan and Leo immediately. They started to come upstairs for Jackson and Peyton, but she quickly got cover behind a smaller stack of crates in the corner. They rushed past her and continued on their search. Peyton got a small glimpse of movement from across the warehouse. Jackson ran into a room upstairs- avoiding detection by split seconds. Suddenly, someone from the main floor called out.

"Come out and we won't hurt your friends! We know your out there!" Peyton peeked out and saw the soldiers and guards, but then there was a man who wasn't there before. He wore a black suit with a blue shirt and no tie. He had blonde hair also, but that's all she saw before she went back into cover. Peyton looked around the other side of the crate and saw Jackson leaving the room and down the stairs while avoiding everyone. He poked out on the main floor and creeped around the soldiers surrounding the vehicles. Peyton now saw that Ryan and Leo were on their knees before the blonde man with no weapons. They were talking about something. Suddenly, Jackson threw a flash grenade at them and started shooting with his real gun. Peyton burst out from the crates and stunned the guards around her before shooting below at the others. She had to get on the move as groups of soldiers ran at her.

Ryan was shoved to his knees in front of the man who started all this. Elias Pearce looked down at him with disappointment and disgust. "Well, well, well. Ryan Case. Now what are you doing back here, hmm?"

"If you must know, Eli, Blackout needs to come to an end. For good."

"Haha! You think you can do that with your little group of misfits," Eli scoffed. Ryan got angry at this.

"How did you know we were coming?!"

"Ha," Eli sighed. "Sometimes, your closest friends are nothing but wolves in sheep's clothing." Leo stood and nodded at Eli before going on his side and in front of Ryan who had a hurt face.

"And I thought we were friends... traitor."

"Think about it Ryan," Leo told him. "A free world where we could do whatever we want whenever we want! No regulations or rejections. Who wouldn't want that?"

"Everyone who has a working brain and knows what that would unleash," Ryan said with venom in his voice.

"That makes you a failure. Just like everyone else! We-" Leo was cut off from flash bang going off by them. Ryan immediately got up and ran at the nearest soldier. He was rubbing his eyes when Ryan knocked him out and took his gun. Firing at everyone who was Blackout, he ran and found Jackson behind a truck.

"You okay," Jackson asked.

"Leo turned on us and took the detonator. He's now our enemy."

They turned around and started shooting back at everyone. But not before catching a glimpse of Peyton who was running and shooting at the same time.

Peyton stunned another guard and went to fire again, but she was out of ammo.

"Crap."

The guard ran at her and she wacked him in the head with her gun before punching another in the gut, kneeing them in the face, and pushing them off the catwalk. She looked up and saw soldiers running at her from both sides- all with real guns. Peyton grabbed the first one and kicked his groin before pushing him over the railing and off the catwalk... with her also. Peyton and the guard below her fell about 20 feet onto the top of a car at the side. The roof collapsed inward and glass shattered all over the place. The guard was unconscious as Peyton got up and ran from the swarm that was chasing her.

Why aren't they shooting?

She didn't think about it as she saw Ryan and Leo just a couple yards away. They were shooting around them and running out to the back door. Peyton ran around a humvey, but something hit her very hard in the head. She fell down on her back and watched as a soldier stood above her with a pipe in his hands. Her eyesight was blurry and she tried to get up, but the man put a foot down on her chest so she couldn't move. Peytons body gave up as her limbs went jello. Right before she passed out, someone had yelled her name.

"Peyton!"
