Squids!

"Ouch!" Dil exclaimed, as his ears popped on the tube. He wasn't really enjoying the Underground.

Phil fumbled about inside his pockets for a second, before revealing a lemon lollipop. "Have this, it'll stop your ears popping."

Dil took the candy excitedly and popped it inside his mouth. "Yum!" he garbled, with Dan and Phil only just able to make out what he was saying.

The train came to a halt, and the three rushed out onto the platform before they got lost in the croud of angry businessmen and moody teenagers once again.

"Squids!" Dil randomly exclaimed, leaving Dan and Phil extremely confused.

"Squids, squids, squids!"He continued to shout enthusiastically, this time pointing at a large advertisement that they were passing.

"Ah right, squids. That's SeaWorld, Dil, maybe one day we'll go and see some squids." Dan suggested, leaving a large grin on Dil's face.

"Yay!" He whispered happily.

They arrived at the top of the elevator, with Phil giving Dan a congratulations on not tripping.

"Oh, shut up..." Dan mumbled.

"Kidding, kidding!" Phil joked, trying to lighten the mood a little.

"Woah."Dil was astounded. There were so many buildings-and people-and shops! He looked around, fascinated by how big everything was.

"Dil, you coming? We might get you a squid t-shirt today!"

"SQUID!!"Dil shouted, receiving various glances from strangers. "Sorry." he whispered.

"It's fine, Dil, you're just a little over-excited. Let's go in here."

The three entered a small store that was filled with anime cosplays and cute plushies. "Tokyo Toys" a sign read, and Dil assumed that it must have been the name of the store.

"Wow, cool!"

Dan chuckled,"Yeah, it is pretty cool isn't it? You need some new clothes and things for your room, have a look about and see if you like anything!"

Dil wandered towards a group of plushies. They were grey, and looked a little bit like bunny rabbits. Dil reached out to touch it, and it was very soft! He liked it, so he lifted it and gave the plushie a huge squeeze.

"I think Dil's found a new friend,"said Phil.

"Yeah, it doesn't look like he'll be letting go of Totoro for a while."

"I'll go over and see what he thinks."

Dil felt a tap on his shoulder, and turned to see who it was. Phil stood in front of him, armed with stickers and a new tshirt.

"I see you like that Totoro teddy."

Dil gave Phil a huge grin and nodded.

"C'mon then, let's go find some things for your room."

The two had now purchased bed sheets with kawaii squids all over them, and a lemongrab tshirt. They met Dan at the door, who was accompanied by a girl who looked no older than 14 years old.

"This is Ellie, she met me a few minutes ago and asked for a photo, I wanted to wait until you came around so she could get us both in the photo."

"Ah cool, hi Ellie!"

"Hi, you don't mind do you? I mean, you seem really busy and I wouldn't want to bother you and-wait, is that Dil? You look a lot like Dil, haha! How funny, eh?" Ellie laughed.

"Ahaha, don't be silly, I am Dil!"

"You're funny! Anyway, I don't want to rush you guys but my mum's across the road giving me this really weird look because I just ran off."

"Oh of course, sorry."

"Nah, it's fine. She's over-reacting anyway."

Dan took Ellie's phone and position himself behind her with Phil, making a peace sign with his hand and giving a smile at the camera.

"Ahhh, thank you so much! I love you guys so, so much,"she proceeded to give them both a hug, "thank you again, bye!"she said, quickly waving, before running across the road and meeting her mum.

"She was sweet."stated Phil, Dan nodding in agreement.

"That was awkward. Why does she know me?"

"Uh..."Dan began.

"Well..."Phil added.

"Talia took a selfie with you, don't you remember? I guess you don't. Ellie probably saw it on Twitter or something.

"What's Twitter?"

"Something that people talk to people on."

"Oh right."said Dil, feeling stupid because he'd asked.

"Don't worry, you'll know all this stuff eventually."

"Right."

Dil still felt very embarrassed.
