After returning home, Dil was still very curious about cameras and Twitter and whatnot. He brought this up with his adoptive parents, Dan and Phil, hoping that they would be able to give him some guidance on this like they had done on other things. Phil was quite unsure of this idea, having already decided not to allow Dil access to the internet due to the high risk of him discovering his own identity. Cruel as it may seem, Dil wasn't supposed to know that he was a sim and him discovering that he was could ruin everything.
"Dan I really don't think we should teach him about this stuff,"Phil mentioned to Dan as he raided through his drawers for his laptop charger.
"Why not? He's surrounded by technology, especially with us being YouTubers. We don't have to show him the videos, just some of the things we use to make them,"
"Yeah ,but, oh thanks!"Phil exclaimed as Dan retrieved Phil's laptop charger for him from under his bed,"I just think it's a risky decision."
"You know all about them, don't you Phil?" said Dan, raising an eyebrow before proceeding to kiss Phil on the cheek.
Phil blushed many shades of crimson before plugging his charger into his laptop and heading through to the lounge to see how Dil was doing.
"Hello Phil!"
"Hey buddy, you alright?"
"Yeah, I was wondering if you could teach me how to play that game, uh, poka-no-poko, no wait, Pokemon?"
"Yeah sure, wait a second and I'll get my 3ds out for you!"
"Thank you Phil!"
Phil smiled at how grateful Dil was, and realised how much he would give for more people to be like him. Grateful, honest, and always looking on the bright side.
Returning to the lounge, Phil loaded up Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and handed Dil his 3ds, telling him to be extra careful with it. He showed him the controls, before Dil started a new game and started playing away happily.
He spent a good 20 minutes guiding Dil contently until he heard an outbreak of Muse's New Born coming from the next room.
Sprinting into the next room, Phil retrieved his phone with the caller ID reading as "Louise".
"Hello?"
"Hi Phil, it's Louise!"
"Oh, hey!"
"Hi! I was just wondering if you wanted to film a video? I'm bored as heck and it seems like a good idea to me."
Glancing up, Phil saw Dil, and thought that perhaps Louise coming over wasn't the best idea.
"I-er..."
"Phil? You okay?"
"Sorry, Louise, I can't today. Maybe some other time?"
"Oh right, okay. I guess I'll see you around then?"
"Yeah, bye."
"Bye Phil!"
Hanging up, Phil groaned. He hadn't even considered the fact that other people existed. How were they going to hide Dil from them? Things would eventually start to seem suspicious. He laid back on his bed, and sighed.
Perhaps teaching Dil how to be human was going to be a lot more difficult than it had seemed at first.
