"Phil, get the door!" Dan called to his flatmate, knowing that Phil had no choice due to his loss in their Oreo competition. Phil groaned and answered to the constantly ringing doorbell's wishes. He was very surprised when he saw two brainy-looking men at the door.
"Hello, is Daniel Howell here?" one asked.
Dan grudgingly walked through, and was also filled with surprise at their guests.
"Excellent! Follow us." the other stated.
Both boys were filled with surprise and confusement, and it wasn't until they reached a matte black Audi r8 that Phil decided he should find out what was going on.
"Uh, I'm sorry, who are you?" Phil stuttered out nervously.
"Who are we? Didn't we explain who we were at arrival? Well, I'm Steven, and this is Troy." he stated, although Steven was positive he'd already told the two who he was and why he was there.
"We're here to take you to meet with Dr. Oates about your trial period."
"...Trial period?" Dan asked, hiding his laughter at the name Troy.
"Yes, trial period. Wait, you don't know do you? Oh my god, we got the wrong people didn't we?"
"No, no, these are the guys. Mail's probably late or something. Just get in the car guys, we'll explain on the way." Steven shuffled them into their seats as he spoke, Dan and Phil both terrified they would break something; this car was way too nice to drive.
The four drove through London, and after around 20 minutes, began seeing streets that they weren't so familiar with.
"So can you tell us what's happening please?" Phil asked, desperate to know why he was around really smart-looking people and in a car that was worth more than his life.
"Try not to freak out,
"You guys have been chosen as trial...guardians of a science experiment thing. We're currently heading to the lab so that you can both meet the thing,"
"Can you please explain what this thing is?" an intrigued Dan questioned.
"Well..."
