< Saturday, 15th, 2021>

{ Holland }

I woke up and stretched out, only to be stopped by my fiancé who decided to be extra cuddly this morning. He wrapped his arms around me and held me to his chest,

"Baby" I laughed lightly, "You know we're gonna have to get up on a minute. I'm sure my grandma is already making breakfast"

Ashton hummed and slowly opened his eyes, tilting his head down so he could see me,

"Good morning" he whispered, pressing his lips to mine for a soft, loving, good morning kiss,

"Good morning bub" I hugged around his waist as his lips pulled away from mine, "Can we get up now? I want coffee"

"Sure honey" Ashton chuckled, releasing me from his hold and stretching out.

He hopped out of bed first and tossed a T-shirt on then tossed a hoodie at me. I slipped it over my head and pulled my hair out from the neck.

We headed out into the main area, and like suspected, my grandma was making breakfast,

"Morning you two" she smiled, "Coffee is ready"

"Thanks" I smiled sleepily, walking around the counter and pouring two cups for Ashton and me. Ashton drinks his black so I passed him his mug then added cream and sugar to mine before walking around the counter and settling in the chair next to him,

"Will you guys be looking at any more venues soon?" My grandma asked as she kept working,

"I think. We found one that looked cool so we added it to the list" I smiled,

"I don't understand why you have to have a big fancy venue. Use a school gym and maybe a church" my dad groaned from the recliner,

"Nobody does that anymore. Plus Ash and I don't want that" I sighed. The whole family is mad that Ashton and I aren't getting married in the Catholic Church- my dad especially. He also doesn't understand that things have changed,

"You're not paying for it so" he commented back,

"Actually, Holland and I are paying for it. We've got a ton of money saved for it" Ashton defended. He likes my family but he does get frustrated with them. My dad didn't say anything after that,

"Let's go sit on the deck" I whispered. Ashton nodded and we got up and headed out the back doors.

We took seats on the swing and I leaned against him,

"I love you" Ashton whispered,

"I love you" I smiled and pulled my head back to kiss him,

"I promise we will find a venue. This wedding will be everything you want. We don't have to get married anywhere or do anything we don't want to or you don't want to"

Once everyone was awake and we had eaten, we packed up and headed down to the dock to get on the boat. Ashton put the cooler in then reached his hand out and helped me into the boat.

Once everyone was in, Grandpa got behind the wheel and we got out on the water. Ashton and I were sitting up front while everyone else was in the back,

"Do you all want to tube before it gets crowded?" Grandpa asked. Nikki responded with an immediate yes. Ashton and I both nodded. We may be adults but we love to go tubing still.

While my dad was getting things set up and out, Ashton and I pulled on life jackets.

I hopped on the tube first, then Ashton climbed on after me, settling next to me as we were pushed out into the water.

Ashton gave me a quick kiss before we gave a thumbs up to my grandpa, letting him know we were ready to go.

We took off and my grandpa started off easy, but we knew that wouldn't last long. My grandpa is ruthless when it comes to tubing. He does everything in his power to make us fly off and always succeeds.

Ashton and I could feel us speeding up and we were being thrown side to side more often.

A boat had just passed and his wake was coming into ours. Ashton and I both braced ourselves as my grandpa whipped us into the wake. Both Ashton and I let go and went flying.

All I felt was pain as I surfaced. I slowly opened my eyes and Ashton was already right there, pulling me into him as he held an arm up to let my grandpa know where we were,

"Honey, are you okay?" Ashton spoke, "I literally landed on you"

I just groaned and leaned my forehead onto his shoulder. He kissed my head as the boat came to us,

"She okay?" I heard my mom ask,

"I don't know but I landed on her" Ashton spoke as he pushed me towards the ladder.

I didn't speak as I got on the boat. My head was pounding. I got my life jacket off and gave it to Nikki who was now on the tube. Ashton pulled his off then came and sat with me near the front of the boat. He kept kissing my head and just held me to him as the boat started to move,

That night, everyone was settled in chairs on the dock, just relaxing. Ashton and I were sharing a chair and had a blanket over our laps. It gets chilly down by the water at night,

"Are you two coming next weekend?" My grandma asked Ashton and me,

"Prob-" I started but Ashton cut me off,

"No. We're going on vacation and we leave Wednesday"

I turned and looked at him like he had three heads,

"So obviously Holland didn't know" Nikki laughed,

"Where are we going?" I asked,

"Florida and somewhere else that's a surprise" Ashton hummed,

"We are?" my eyes widened

He just grinned. I smiled and pecked his lips,

"That's so cute" my grandma gushed, making me blush and bury my head in Ashton's chest,

"Uh oh, someone's blushing" Ashton cooed, making my face even redder,

"It's good that you can still make her blush after being together for so long" my grandpa spoke,

"She's a blushy person in general" Ashton giggled, "But that's something I love about her"

I smiled into his chest and hugged him,

"God I can't wait until you two are married"
