Today is the last day of school before Christmas break. Since it's the last day it's also a half-day, so we're having a class Christmas party and Ashton's coming with me to help out, plus usually, the other teachers bring their significant others on this day.

We got up and got dressed and loaded the car with everything we needed to take- snacks, juice boxes, and little gifts we put together for each kid. We wanted to get all the kids a little something since some may not get anything for Christmas at all. I just want to make sure everyone gets at least one gift. What we got them wasn't a whole lot. We got them coloring books and crayons, some fun socks, and a small stuffed animal.

We got to school and Ashton pulled into my normal parking spot,

"I won't be the only not teacher today right?" Ashton asked once we got out and grabbed everything from the backseat,

"Not at all. I think all the husbands are coming" I laughed,

"Husbands?" he nudged me and winked,

"Soon you will be" I grinned. Ashton smiled.

We got to my classroom and Ashton helped me get the kids' things we brought onto the desks,

"These kids have the best teacher" Ashton complimented,

"They're still little. I want them to have this fun. I remember having Christmas parties at school when I was little" I shrugged,

"Christmas is during summer vacation in Australia so we didn't get to do that. Plus growing up, I mean you know because we've talked about it, but we didn't have a lot of money so sometimes I never got Christmas" Ashton told me, taking a seat on one of the desks,

"And I hate that for you" I sighed, making my way to him, "You've come far. You get Christmas and we will be able to provide Christmas for our kids. And now, you get to have your first school Christmas party- Kindergarten style"

Ashton smiled and gently pecked my lips.

After the kids all got here, they started coloring the Christmas coloring page I had on all their desks. They were also all asking Ashton a million questions or asking him to come look at their coloring,

"What did you get Miss Evans for Christmas?" I heard one of the kids speak up,

"I can't tell you, she'll hear me" Ashton laughed, "But what I did get her she will like it I think"

I raised my eyebrows at Ashton. We agreed that we weren't going to do Christmas presents because we are leaving for our trip Sunday. We said we were gonna use what we'd spend on Christmas for the trip. Ashton just raised his eyebrows back before walking to me,

"You really think I'm not gonna get you something for Christmas?" he laughed, "And don't get mad at me. I know you got me something because I found it wrapped and in the bottom of our closet"

My eyes widened- he caught me,

"You didn't see it" I winked. Ashton laughed and followed me to where my laptop was connected to the projector,

"You guys wanna watch a movie?" I asked my class, getting a collective 'yes' back, "So what movie do you all want to watch?"

"Santa Claus!" two or three kids yelled. I laughed and found the movie online and got it playing for them while they ate their snacks. Once the movie was up, I went back and sat with Ashton at my desk.
