"Well, if I had to choose..."
"I'd choose none of you." You stated simply, leaning back in your chair. There was silence for a few moments. "Oh.." Izuku trailed off, looking down towards the floor. You almost felt bad. "You three are going to be too busy anyways." You mentioned boredly. Shoto looked over with curiosity. "And just what do you mean by that?" He asked.
You sat up. "I'm giving each of you a new assignment. It'll be your most important and difficult one yet, so you won't have time for a relationship. Maybe I'll consider it after you succeed." You answered, looking off to the side. Izuku perked up a little. Perhaps he had a chance after all. "Individual assignments?" Shoto questioned. He seemed to be the most intrigued out of the three.
Katsuki had started spacing out at the beginning of your answer. "Yeah. Each of you will have a special and important mission." You answered, looking down at your hand boredly. Sure, this was important, but you would discuss it in a meeting later. Not during the small amount of downtime you had. "Regardless, I expect the best from each of you. If my requirements are not met, we're going to have a problem." You probably sounded more threatening than you meant to. Whoops.
"Yes, boss." Izuku said quietly, still seeming a little defeated. You figured he'd get over it soon enough. He got over killing his lover quite fast, after all. As for Shoto and Katsuki, well, you knew they could handle it. They were always stronger emotionally than Izuku was. That's why it was less hard for them to lose people. Not that it mattered. You weren't interested in them and you never would be. You refused to love. To get close to someone. Not after what happened with All For One. He was almost like a father to you. And then, out of what seemed like nowhere, he was gone.
You weren't letting that happen again.
Besides, you had to focus on running the organization. It was important. Now more than ever. The hero society was missing their symbol of peace. They were weak. Unprepared. The perfect time to destroy them. To make them pay for what they'd done. You didn't have time to mess around. You needed to do this. Not only for yourself, but for All For One too. You needed to create the world he wanted. To take down the heroes, once and for all.
That was your duty, and you wouldn't let anything get in the way of that.
Not ever.
