**no ones POV**
The two sat on the grassy patch on the cliff watching the sunset in silence. Neither felt the need to talk, despite wanting to get to know each other they both enjoyed the silence.
After the sun had disappeared behind the horizon they sat there for a while, just letting time pass, not wanting to go back to the world.
20 minutes had passed when Lena finally sighed and stood up, stretching her body out. The boy looked up at her and smiled and stood up as well.
"Could I uh.... Could I get your number or something to talk to you again? I know we don't really know each other but there's something calming about you that I like to be around and-" jack scratches the back of his head and looks at the ground nervously.
The girl giggles and nods. "Course you can, I completely get what you mean" she smiles and pulls her phone out and hands it to him.
He smiles and takes her phone and makes a contact for himself with his number in it then sends himself a text.
He hands her back her phone and smiles.
"It was nice meeting you Lena, talk to you soon I hope" Jack smiles then takes off running down the hill.
Lena smiles and looks at the contact name he had put in her phone, Jack <3, she smiles at the small heart he added then starts walking down the hill to go home.

Jack sits on the edge of his bed staring at his phone, looking at the message he sent himself from Lena's phone.
He threw his phone to the side to stop himself from texting her, wanting to know more about her but knowing he'd get hurt when she found out about him.
Biting his lip he half regretted adding his last name to his contact name in her phone, knowing full well she could now easily look him up if she didn't already know who he was.
He knew he'd have to tell her soon. The butterflies in his stomach that he got when she laughed or looked at him made sure he knew that he couldn't lie, not for long at least.
"Fuck-" he mumbles out before getting up and turning the light off to hide under his sheets, still trying to avoid reality.

Lena woke up to the sun shining in her face through a small gap in the curtains. She groaned and rolled over to check the time on her phone.
5:43 am
She put her phone back on her bed and sat up yawning, knowing she wouldn't be able to get back to sleep.
Rolling out of bed and changing into some sweats and a crewneck sweater, throwing her hair into a messy bun and grabbing her wallet and phone before heading out the door to the coffee shop down the street.
She walks into the shop and smiles at the lingering coffee smell. She walks to the counter, orders an extra large latte and a muffin and hums quietly to the music playing in the background as she waits.
She gets her drink and muffin and walks to the corner booth and sits down to watch the sun finish rising, still humming quietly and half daydreaming.
Taking her time to eat her muffin and drink her latte, she sits in the booth humming to the music and not paying attention to time or any goings on in the shop.
That is until a shadow appears on the table, causing her to look up to find the source of the shadow.
A smile appears on her face as she sees Jack standing there, leaning against the side of the booth with his arms crossed over his chest with a smile glued to his face.
"Fancy seein' you here" he says, still smiling.
Lena let's out a small laugh and nods. "Very fancy, Jack of Hearts".
He laughs and looks around a bit before locking eyes with the girl. "What's gotcha here so early?"
"Sun woke me up, you?"
"I'm on coffee duty today"
"Coffee duty?"
"Yeah- I uhm- I'm in a band and we've got early rehearsal today and the boys need coffee, well, except Daniel, crazy man prefers apple juice"
She sips her latte then laughs and almost spits it out,"That is crazy"
"Ye-" he starts to respond before he hears his name being called to get his order. "I gotta go but- I'll text you later" he smiles before running off to get his order.
Lena nods and smiles and watches him run off, giggling a bit to herself as his curls bounce around as he runs.
The rest of the day goes by slow for Lena as she hangs around in her apartment debating if she should text Jack to ask if he wanted to meet up.
Finally she gives in and types out a message.
Lena: Hey- Ik ur probably tired cause u mentioned rehearsals but ig I was wondering if u wanted to hang out tonight?
Jack<3: I would but I told the boys I'd have dinner with them- and they definitely won't let me bail so unless you wanted to come to that- tonight's an unfortunate no go :(
Lena: I'm down if theyre ok with it :)
Jack<3: really? Ok- uh yeah lemme check with them real quick then I'll send you the details :D it'll probably be in like an hour btw-
Lena: sounds good, Jack of Hearts
She throws her phone on her bed and looks through her closet, setting out an outfit to be prepared, hoping the boys agree to letting her go.
