POV: Jack

I've been working my ass off the past 3 weeks to get this surprise party ready.

I sent Phoenix and Miranda dress shopping for Lena but they FaceTimed me and had me pick the dress, thankfully I knew exactly what I wanted the dress to look like, and they managed to find one that looked better than what I could have ever imagined.

I just know she's gonna look absolutely stunning in it, although I'm a bit biased cause I think she'd look stunning in a garbage bag.

I remembered her telling me how much she used to love fairies as a kid, she told me about how her grandpa was her best friend and when they weren't being silly running around her parents theatre, they'd be in the public garden a block away watching animals and trying to see if any fairies would come through the little fairy door in the garden.

She looked so happy talking about her childhood and all the crazy fun things she did with her grandpa, she deserves to be that happy all the time, and I definitely feel like it's my job to make that happen.

Back to the point of remembering that- I decided that the party theme would be fairies, so I found the perfect place in a forest near LA.

Miranda and Phoenix confirmed that she would love that and went to check out the place to make sure it's actually what we think it is.

And when I tell you it was absolutely perfect- when the girls showed me their pictures of it I immediately saw how everything would look for the party.

Small lights hanging from the trees, candles down the pathway to the clearing, and small lanterns in places the tree lights couldn't reach.

I'd invite the band, and a few of our friends since Miranda and Phoenix said Lena doesn't have too many people outside of them two and me.

I made sure to be careful with who I invited because I know Lena wouldn't want any snobby bitches or assholes there, and I don't want them there either.

The boys and I flew back to LA the night before Lena's birthday to get a full nights rest before spending the day setting up the party while Miranda and Phoenix distracted Lena and kept her in her apartment.

I made sure to send Lena a text telling her happy birthday so she wouldn't get sad thinking I was ignoring her.

Jonah, Daniel, Corbyn, Zach and I have been at the party spot for 3 hours already, just setting everything up.

We had till sunset for Lena to get here, I just knew she'd love the glow as she walked through the forest to the opening.

And I knew I would love the way it shined on her face and hopefully her perfect smile.

At 7:30 Phoenix sent me a text saying they were near so I left the group of people that had gathered in the opening and slowly make my way to the parking lot type place at the other end of the path.

Here we go, seeing your favourite person after 6 months. Don't lose your shit, Jack.
