   —basics

   gilgamesh , a four thousand-seven hundred year old ancient king and demigod from sumer , now modern day iraq.

        he is incredibly powerful , and no god dare stand in the way of his wrath , and may the gods themselves pray in case they do incur his wrath.

        he was created two thirds god , one third man , both born and created by the gods from the womb of ninsun , a goddess resembling maternal affection and fertility.

             they planned to make him a sort of keystone to eternally bind the gods to mankind as their power would some day diminish.

it would take a human to govern , and a god to menace , but gilgamesh was the only being who could truly do both.

gilgamesh turned into a tyrant and rejected the gods' control over him. no wife or daughter was safe from him , and men could do nothing but be subjected to labor.

the gods saw this and created a weapon of the gods made to bind the gods , a living weapon , Enkidu. Enkidu was formed from clay as a monstrous wild beast , whose power could completely rival gilgamesh from his raw strength , and could slay gods.

they were the living chains of heaven , which could bind gilgamesh because of his divinity. however enkidu lacked any soul or intellect , so the gods sent a divine harlot named shamhat that would spend time with the wild beast for seven days , until they finally gained reason.

enkidu molded themself into a human , androgynous , genderless form , losing much of their physical strength in the process , while still incredibly strong , but gaining a host of other abilities from their growth in mind that would allow them to better keep up with gilgamesh.

up to this point , gilgamesh had an omnipotent control over what is known as a divine gate , a two dimensional golden ripple in reality that connected to countless treasures which serve as the source of human wisdom , but he could also them as projectiles or weapons.

     when gilgamesh and enkidu fought , gilgamesh recognized enkidu as a true equal , despite enkidu roughly keeping up with him in the end due to their loss of strength , and at the end gilgamesh would spare enkidu out of a genuine excitement that enkidu had given him.

  enkidu turned their sight away from binding gil physically , and instead chose to become his friend and rectify his morals and at least change how he would respond to the mongrels of the earth and control himself.
