CHAPTER 25

PATRICK/GULF

"I'll be in a conference for two days only Sunshine. It won't take long. I just can't say no to Dean."

I smiled at him. " Don't worry. I'll just be here. I might decide to swim but it won't take long."

He still hesitant to leave me. So he offered me to join him again. "why don't you just come with me? It will be a vacation as well. Don't you think?"

I shake my head to disagree. "No, I''ll be fine. No need to worry for me. I'll probably just draw and draw until you came back. okay? Now, off you go. Dean is waiting."

He reluctantly picked up his travel bag and walk to the door. He acts like he is going to kiss my cheeks but i immediately moved my cheeks away. Disappointed, he walk to the car and drive to the hospital. I went back to the bed and decides to text Dean that Liam is on his way. He replied and ask me where am I and what I am going to do since Liam is out of town. I told him i promised him that I will stay at the villa, but i met swim this afternoon. He replied a simple okay with a wink emoji and I don't get it. I proceed with my sketches but I got no inspiration to do so. I just changed into swimming attire and decided to take a dip at the nearest beach. 

I was enjoying my dip when I noticed a familiar guy standing near my things. 

It's Mew. 

I came out of the water, and grabbed my towel. Not minding him looking at me. When I'm done wearing my shirt, i faced him.

"Why are you here?"

"I want to talk to you. I know Liam prohibits you from talking to me, but you have to know the truth."

The truth. Am I ready for the truth? "Let's go over there. It's not convenient to talk here."I pointed at the location of some lounge chair and cottages. I think i might need a support after all the truths that will be revealed. 

Silence filled us at first, no one wants to ask a question. But i decided to start, it's now or never. "Who am I?"

"Your name is Justin Gulf Traipipattanapong-Jongcheeveevat. You're my husband."

Shocked engulfed me. "We are married?"

"Yes, and we have a son--well, not biologically. A legally adopted so, Ansel Eijaz. I will tell you how but probably the next time. We are married for a year now. You went missing after an incident with regards to Ansel's biological father. They thought you were dead, but I have hopes that you are not. And I am so right baby, you're still alive."

I was taken aback. "How did we became husbands?"

"We are highschool sweethearts baby. But due to some circumstances, we've been away for seven years. I came back from abroad just to look for you and pursue you again. Luckily, you still love me as much as I love you. "

I held my head as it aches for some flashbacks. Mew worriedly came to my side and hugged me. Why do i feel comfortable with his hugs? 

"I'm okay, its just that, what you are telling now is too much to take at once."

"I'm sorry, I should stop. I will still see you tomorrow. You can res--"

'DON'T TOUCH HIM!"

 The next thing I knew, Mew is lying on the sand and has blood on his mouth. 

I rushed to where he is "Mew! Are you okay? Liam! Why did you do that?!"

Liam pulled me from Mew "I told you not to talk to this guy! You didn't listen to me!"

"But i want to know thge truth! you are denying me that!"

"I told you to forget your past and just create new memories with me! is it that hard to accept me? After all i have done for you--"

Mew cut him off "He deserves to know the truth! He has family waiting for him. We are in agony for more than a year now. And that is because of you! You kept him away from us!"

"No! Patrick is mine! He is mine. Leave us the fck alone!" Then Liam plunged an attack on Mew and the next second, they were now punching each other. 

"Stop it! You two! I said stop it!" I tried to meddle in between them but I didn't saw Liam's arms swinging on my way. He accidentally pushed me that leads me to hit my head in one of the wooden lounge chairs. 

"Gulf/Patrick!" they said in chorus.

Mew was fast in picking me up while Liam immediately pressed my wound to stopped the bleeding. 

"i'll bring you to the hospital baby hold on--"

"No, I'm bringing him to the hospital! Give him to me!"

They started arguing again, and my head is now aching bad. I stand up and tried to walk. But memories of Wedding, a baby. a beach house, the faceless man giving me kisses and making love to me. Little by little,  the faceless man became clear. 

It was Mew. 

I started to shake as memories floods in, but now, with a complete face of Mew, my Mom, my precious Ansel. 

And the accident. The face of those people and the time before we hit the tree. I held my head more as  the pain starts to be unbearable. I am slowly loosing my consciousness and before everything turn black, i heard my husband's voice.

"BABY!"

I am smelling a pungent smell of amonia. I tried to open my eyes and I was welcomed by a bright light. 

"Baby? Are you okay? Can you hear me?"

Mew. I tried to open my mouth but I can't talk. Liam handed me a bottled water and i took a sip. It felt good and my throat feel much better. I haven't open my mouth yet, the two starts arguing again. 

"Stop it you two. I don't have the energy to put up with the two of you. Sit down, and i made my decision."

"You have to leave Mew, Patrick is choosing me and he is not coming with you. Right Sunshine?"

"It's been a year with you Liam, and I am grateful for what you did for me. Through my hard times since i woke up from coma, you have been patient with me. Thank you, for offering your love and offering me a great future with you."

"Sunshine, you know i will do everything for you. That's right, let's create good memories together aye?"

I faced Mew, "Mew, thank you for your existence. I was able to understand all those dreams that i am having the past months because of you and the explanation that you have given me. All through out the year, i experience peacefulness in this place before you came."

"All I want is for our family to be together and complete baby, let's go home, na? Ansel is waiting for us." 

I looked at Loam and then I looked at Mew, I shook my head to both of them. "Please leave me alone for the meantime, I want to regain my true self."

Both of them are shocked. Tried to reason out but i remained silent. 

But I already had my decision. Family. 

"I'm sorry Liam, but i have regained my full memory. And Mew, is my home."

Liam is already crying while Mew hugged me.

"But, I am not coming home yet. Like what i said. Leave me for a while. I will come home when the time is right. "
