With Link having to hold onto Zelda just to keep walking as he nursed his wound, they lost all pretence of staying quiet. Before, they tried to stay as quiet as possible so the assassins wouldn't know where they were, but it was rather difficult to do so now that Link was limping his way down the corridors. Besides, they doubted the bodies they left behind would go unnoticed for long.

Their way to the generator room was relatively uneventful which was a Goddess send for the two of them. Even though Link would gladly try, he was in no fit condition for a fight and Zelda wasn't exactly a trained killer.

To their relief, the generator room was unguarded as well. From the shouts and noises that could be heard through the halls, it was obvious the bodies they had left had been found. No doubt the assassins were searching for them and had pulled away soldiers on guard to peruse them.

Knowing it wouldn't be too long to locate them, the second they burst through the door, Zelda and Link limped towards the generator which stood tall in the room with many cables sprouting from it. Zelda carefully helped Link to the floor so he could sit down at its base to work.

He pulled out his radio and began taking it apart at the back so he could attach some wires into the back of it. They didn't speak at all as Zelda just sat next to him, holding onto him as he tried to fix the radio.

Zelda took his phone and checked the cameras over and over again. It didn't look good. The soldiers had already found the dead guards they had left. More assassins were now swarming that part of the Palace, trying to find them. Zelda and Link weren't far from that hall so they definitely didn't have long until they would have to make an escape.

"Yes!" Link exclaimed as quietly as he could when his radio turned on with white noise now crackling away, "Commander? Hello? Commander Impa? Are you there?"

The crackling of the white noise changed slightly as if there was a voice but it was so minimal neither of them could interprate it. Link turned back to the generator and adjusted the setting, waiting for the crackling to settle again.

"Commander?" Link asked again, hoping for an answer.

"Who is this? This is a restricted frequency!" A voice answered under the static.

"Commander Impa!" Link sighed in relief, ignoring her question, "Thank the Goddesses! I'm with the President but we're under attack. Assassins have infiltrated the Palace and we need need an immediate evacuation, repeat, immediate evacuation!"

"Of course! I'll send out a priority one. Can you get to the entran-"

The signal faded and the white noise grew once again. Link had known the signal wouldn't last so long but he hadn't realised how short their time would be. Despite this, both he and Zelda smiled in relief at the prospect of salvation.

"Entran... Entrance... Entrance Hall!" Link repeated the Commander's words, realising that she had requested they make their way to the entrance hall for their rescue; that would be easy enough, they were near there anyways.

"We got company and if we want to be alive for that rescue, I think we should start going now," Zelda's smile faded when she saw many soldiers advancing on their location on Link's phone.

"Right," Link sighed and braced himself as he tried to stand up, only for Zelda to pull him up and slung his arm around her shoulder.

"We're nearly there, you can make it," Zelda reassured him when he hissed in pain at moving his wound again, "When we get out of this, remind me to give you a pay rise."

Link chuckled at this, only to since again at the shot of pain up his body, "You can't put a price on loyalty."

"Are you saying you don't want the extra money?" Zelda huffed in amusement as they reached the door.
