Line of Hypocrisy(4)

I sat down satisfied as I popped open a soda. I chugged it down, sighing in relief as I ran my hand through Dokja's hair. He was lying on my lap, snoozing lightly, with his arms wrapped around my waist.

Jung Heewon's eyes nearly popped out as she looked at the nearly empty bags of food.

"Oh my god, it sold out last night?"

"Yup," I responded, popping the 'P.'

"Hah," Jung Heewon laughed mockingly in disbelief. "How funny. Everyone was just watching. Yet now..."

"Heh," I laughed back. "Let me tell you, it wasn't just the members of the marginalized group."

I gave a condescending snarl as I remembered the faces of the people who had come up. There hadn't been just people of the marginalized group.

"Kim Do-" Cheon Inho suddenly stopped, staring at the sleeping Kim Dokja. "Ehem, Ha-Neul-ssi, I hope you know that you've made the wrong choice."

More than half of the food I had was bought by those from the mainstream group, and they had all paid the exact amount.

Cheon Inho had been among the group.

"You will regret it." Sure, whatever you say.

Jung Heewon was snarling red-faced as she heard the entire story. "Wait a minute, then the mainstream group will just monopolize everything again!"

"Mn."

"What? What is this?! Weren't you going to weaken the power of the mainstream group by promoting transactions among the people?" She clenched her fist, breathing hard.

I nodded at her, quietly admiring her amazing insight. "That is correct. That was our goal, we wanted for them to come to us freely."

"Then why would you sell food to the mainstream group?! The situation hasn't changed!"

I grinned, "Yes it has."

"H-huh?"

"I said, yet it has. We obtained coins."

2,900 coins to be exact, and split between the two of us, it was 1,450 coins each.

"Ugh- ugh! What are you two thinking, Sangah-ssi! Can we really trust these two?!" Jung Heewon exclaimed pointing at me with her head turned towards the said girl.

Yoo Sangah flinched, surprised at the sudden attention towards her but then nodded as she smiled brightly. "Of course, Heewon-ssi! I believe in them."

Ah, how burdensome.

"Then..." Yoo Sangah hesitantly spoke, "Do you and Dokja-ssi have enough food?"

I pretended to think before responding, "Dokja's got a granola bar left." At my words, Jung Heewon squinted her eyes.

"And what about you, Ha-Neul-ssi?"

"I, ehem, I sold it all," I told them, clearing my throat albeit rather nervously.

Her mouth fell open in disbelief. At the same time, someone poked my cheek. I turned my head to be greeted by two biscuits. I scooted back to see Lee Gilyoung and Kim Namwoo on the other side.

"You...want me to eat it?"

Gilyoung nodded his head as Kim Namwoon rolled his eyes. "No, I want to show off my biscui- yes it's for you."

I smiled, pinching Kim Namwoon's cheek before rubbing Gilyoung's hair. "I'm fine, these are for you two. Ah, that reminds me, does everyone still have some of the food that Dokja and I handed out?"
