29. Alien Promise

Jeon Jeongguk was a mess from that day. All he could focus on the pain he was living. The heartbreaking feeling of not comforted by someone was increasing each time when he thinks about a certain one. Why is he hurting for someone else was a question Jeongguk doesn't want to answer.

But still, he will return to Taehyung. And that's what he was doing now. Searching for the letters to be not stained by tears and hoping for happiness in the next pages, Jeongguk turned the diary while sitting on the balcony.
The chilly November breeze reminding him that by the end of the year, he will be something else, maybe a better person. The wind chimes making harmony with the Itaewon wind as the night blends with the city lights.

We know it will take time for to things falling into their place. But we're impatient to see Hobi walk, dance, and smile like before. Now, we're holding the hope.

Jimin had this friend, Jieun. I guess she was his school friend. We met today. It was her birthday. After a long time, I and Jimin went to a party.

The ambiance was loud and chaotic. First, we felt disturbed about the idea of going out. But then, sitting lifeless in our apartment will not make anyone happy. Especially, Hobi and Jinnie. So, yeah. Breaking the barriers, we enjoyed. Jimin was drunk after a long time. I don't know, it was like sipping all his pain deep down. I didn't complain. Everyone has their ways to handle their suffering and hurt. And, I respect it. No matter how different it is from my techniques.

Jieun said she will help me to find a better job. Since the current Secretary one is paying less and I qualified to get a better one. Maybe at her firm.

And, there was this guy. Kim Yugyeom. He's handsome. He said he would like to meet up more. Jieun was interested in that, of course, this guy is her friend. I was waiting for Jimin's approval to do whatever. I can't decide alone on these things.

We left there, me sober. Jimin - drunk and tipsy. But it was good though. I guess Jieun's company isn't that bad. She lived in Daegu too. Maybe we can get together for real.

Ah, long night. I really miss the spice in my life. What should I do with all of these? To break the curse of being boring?

Jeongguk, don't know to whom whispered to the wind. What if for real, his words are reaching Taehyung?. What if Taehyung can hear his whisper from far away? Woah! How delusional.

Wait, Jieun was Jimin's friend?. They met at the birthday party. Kim Yugyeom. Agh. Jeongguk groaned. Why? God knows.

Finally, Yugyeom asked me out. Jimin was happy and I thought it's okay to give it a try. Yugyeom came to pick me up at five in the evening and we went to a fancy restaurant. It was a good time to talk with him. We are different from each other in a lot of things. But I guess, Yug is a cool person and he really understands my worries and clumsiness.

Maybe, I will score a second date. I'm not that interested neither rejecting the idea.
