The world spins, oscillates, and rotates in reverse, but never returns to him. The silent hallways leave his heavy heart miserable and his legs shaking at the scaring thoughts inside his head. Hospitals are the places Jeongguk hates to go at any time of his life. Walking fast Jeongguk stopped in front of the room door Namjoon told him. He's broken. He's lost. His home just crumbled. As soon as Namjoon found Jeongguk, he stood up from the seat to walk towards the younger.

No one there was in a better state than him. Jimin was touching the small glass window of the door, staring inside, tears staining his cheeks. Jin was sitting there too, his face hidden inside his palms, Yoongi and Hobi leaning on the wall, averting their gaze from everything and everyone. A teardrop left from Jeongguk's eye and his hand unknowingly held on Namjoon's. The elder patted his shoulder, comforting him in any way he could.

"It was on the way back to...home. The car on the opposite side hit the cab and...

The doctors said he's fine. His head was injured badly. And maybe... Will took time to... Wake up..."

Namjoon breathed out. His eyes never left Jeongguk's frozen state. He caressed the shoulder and waited for the younger to reply. Looking around to register that he's not dreaming, Jeongguk shrugged his shoulders and walked towards the door where Jimin was standing. He looked inside. There lies a man, the one who owns his heart, eyes closed, wounded face and bandaged head, breathing as nothing happened. Still, he looks beautiful without thinking about anything. One hand had the drips tube, another lying on the bed, blanket covering his frame, the ECG monitor next to the bed shows his heartbeats and Jeongguk's heart clenched under his ribcage. He never imagined his lover would be in this state, broken and powerless. He wanted to barge in and wipe the bloodstains of Taehyung. He wanted to hold those slender hands and never leave him. He wanted to keep Taehyung in his arms like the male always wanted, away from all the hurt and pain.

The ache in his heart grows as he looks at the dreamy boy through the small glass window. Jeongguk moved away, hands holding his chest and trying to neglect his wild thumping of heart. He sat down on the bench next to Jin, without uttering a word. Hours passed. They looked tired and torn inside and out. The shaken state of them is reflecting around the air as they stare at the void in front of them which gives hope of nothing. The silence of the hallways broke when the doctor came out of the ICU and looked at them. His concerned gaze searched the ones closer to the boy inside and when he spotted the six of them, the doctor said in a low voice.

"I'm sorry for his state. He is out of danger now. His head injury is severe. You can see him, but please don't pressure him or something. He needs rest now."

The doctor paused. There was an uncomfortable silence between them. No one dared to solve it. The bewildered expression on the friend's face made the doctor worried a bit and he was about to say something but cut off when Jeongguk stood up. He walked inside of the room with a heavy heart and lost eyes. His gaze never leaving his lover on the bed. Jimin and others followed him in silence. All of them look equally worried and in pain. Swollen face and red puffy eyes share the same agony Jeongguk was going through.

The young officer sat on the chair next to the bed, trembling hands slowly reaching out to hold the slender fingers of his boyfriend. He curled his fingers around the promise finger of Taehyung and gazed at the male. Jimin sat on the side of the bed, his hands slowly touching the forehead of his best friend who was in a deep sleep. It didn't take a lot of moments for Jimin to break down into tears again, heart cracking into pieces at the sight of his soulmate lying like that.

"Do you think this is funny? "

The deep voice shuddered them from the bottom of their heart. They looked around to see who's talking and their eyes landed on the young officer. Jeongguk wasn't crying. His tears dried and his face had an unreadable expression that the others couldn't figure out what it meant. Before they could interrupt, Jeongguk continued.
