Chapter 6 Love?

"Where is Korra going Dad?" Rohan asked as he saw Korra take off towards the dock.

Tenzin smiled and patted Rohan's head, "Korra has been seeing Asami for a whole year. They are gonna celebrate today that's why she left early."

Rohan nodded understanding his father, "Just like you and Mommy?"

Tenzin chuckled, "Yes just like me and Mommy."

"Why do people do that Dad?" Rohan asked looking up at Tenzin.

Tenzin looked down at Rohan with a warm smile, "Love."

Rohan looked confused "Love?"

Tenzin just nodded "Let's go back inside Mommy made sweet buns."

Korra ran down the dock as fast as she could, she couldn't be late especially today. Thankfully Tenzin let her go early. As Korra got on the ferry she bent down and caught her breath. Today would be Korra and Asami's one year anniversary. Korra was gonna go to Asami's workshop and surprise her for dinner. Korra had planned this day perfectly. She reached into her pocket for the list, smiling when her fingers touched the paper. Korra pulled out the list and read it inside her head.

1) Surprise Asami at work.
2) Take her out to eat.
3) Go watch her favorite jazz band live.
4) Turtle duck paddle boat.
5) ???

Korra smiled at the list, "This is gonna go smoothly." The ferry soon pulled into the port and Korra got off.

Asami wiped the sweat and oil from her face and sighed. Asami had been working in the workshop today, to help with a new Sato mobile engine. Asami smiled as she looked at the clock, "Finally I can go home now." Asami grabbed her things and made her way to the door. As Asami walked outside she took in a deep breath of Republic City air. Asami smiled with relief and made her way to the car.

Korra waited patiently by Asami's car fidgeting with her hands. Korra saw Asami approaching and ran up to meet her.

Asami smiled, "Korra! What are you doing here?"

Korra grabbed Asami's hand and pulled her to the car, "I'm taking you on the best date ever!" Korra grinned and opened the car door for Asami.

Asami smiled, "So you didn't forget?"

Korra smiled, "How could I? We've been together for a year now!"

Asami kissed Korra on the cheek, "Thank you Korra. But can we go home first, I really need to look nice and have a shower."

Korra nodded "Of course."

Korra sat on the bed sighing "Asamiiii its been an hour alreadyyyyy can we go now?!"

Asami yelled from the bathroom, "Wait a little longer I'm almost done!"

Korra mumbled under her breath, "Thats a dirty lie she said that an hour ago." Korra huffed and waited for Asami.

It only took Asami another 15 minutes before they could leave.

Korra smiled and as soon as Asami opened the door from the bathroom, Korra's heart skipped a few beats. Korra had felt the same exact feeling a year ago.

Asami just smiled, "We better go now if we want to make it on time for our reservation."

Korra looked at the clock "We better go now."

Korra and Asami quickly left the house into their car. Asami was driving as fast as she could on the road trying to make their dinner reservation. They made it 10 minutes later hoping they could make it.
